Yesterday was my first time ever going there I’ve been in this town probably six months and my friend had to come to the CVS to get her medicine so I decided to ride with her and we went in there to get something to eat why she was waiting for her medicine I went in there to get my plate enchilada plate with no red fried beans I cannot stand refried beans and she had asked me the lady who was taking the order asked me if I already placed an order. I said no this is my first time being in here and she said OK welcome well I get the food. I go pick up the friend from CVS and then we head back to our town where we work and opened up the food, no napkins no utensils no salsa no nothing opened up the container that had the food and guess what no Charro beans read fried beans all over the plate. I should’ve took a picture, but I did not so I called and called for 30 minutes and nobody would ever answer the phone and then it got to the point where it was just busy. How do you even place an order to go if you can’t even get a hold of somebody so finally after 42 minutes She told me yes that they recognize that they forgot to give me the Charro beans and I can come up there and get them well I’m like 35 minutes away and I don’t come to that town or live in that town and the plate was $18 with tip no nothing no utensils no salsa no Charro beans not even I’m sorry. No nothing. What a horrible experience so if you’re going in there and you’re gonna place an order to go, I would double double check your bag what a waste of time and money and my first time being in there and it was awful awful experience. I mean, how do you get something to go when you have no napkins or nothing to eat with it no utensils nothing and I literally just spent $18 on two cheese enchiladas a thing of Mexican rice, which was bland and the big big spoonfuls of...

Last night, my wife and I decided to try Delia's Parrillades, arriving at 6:00 PM. We were the only diners for the first twenty minutes, a quiet start to a Monday evening. By 6:30, two other parties had arrived, adding a touch more atmosphere to the quaint, no-frills setting. I believe Delia's has been open for about a year, and it's clear it's a family-owned establishment.
My wife ordered the shrimp brochette, which was a visual treat. Six colossal shrimp, each wrapped in bacon and stuffed with cheese and jalapeños, arrived sizzling on a skillet, accompanied by charro beans and pico de gallo. The presentation was good, and the sizzling platter ensured the food was piping hot, a clear sign of fresh preparation.
I opted for the street tacos with chicken fajita, also served with charro beans. While the tacos were fine, the chicken fajita was a tad dry. In hindsight, I should have explored other options like beef or carnitas for a better comparison. My wife’s shrimp brochette, however, was the clear winner, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it.
The atmosphere at Delia's is simple, albeit very quiet on a Monday. In the hour and fifteen minutes we were there, only five other patrons came in. It's concerning to see such low traffic for a family-owned restaurant, and I can only imagine the tight margins they operate under.
Despite the quiet evening and my slightly dry chicken, we plan to return to Delia's Parrillades. We're eager to try other dishes on their menu. We'll update this review after our next visit, hoping to experience a livelier atmosphere and more...
Read morePretty typical small town Mexican food restaurant. I will lead by saying that their food was great. The salsa was served hot (which is probably more traditional) which is not my preference but the flavor was excellent.
I will say we had a large group of 11 people but the service was well below par even for a group of our size as when we got there there was only one other group in the restaurant until it later filled just before we left. We constantly ran out of chips and drinks well before we were able to order our food. We were given a "free" margarita which was a nice addition but it tasted more like lemonade and it's doubtful if there was any alcohol in it.
The waiter was trying to be humorous or was attempting to be humorous by acting like he was working in a Dick's Last Resort restaurant which would have been more amusing if the service was better.
When we were done eating we were basically held hostage waiting for our checks until everyone had finished eating and the table was bussed. We then received our checks which we had to then wait to pay and wait for our cards to be returned.
Another note, we were told up front that they were unable to split the check more than 4 ways due to the way that their system works. I only mention this so that you can know this information beforehand.
I do want to reiterate that the food was great, despite the service so perhaps with a smaller group on a weekday or not so busy day you may have a much...
