2025.06-06_1945: When they first opened, I saw there was a huge line to get in so I didn't want to try it. The first time we went a couple weeks ago, I saw that it wasn't a dine-in ice cream shop like BR and I was relieved. The line went super fast because they have four windows open and plenty of staff. I made the mistake of walking to Handel's and wanting to eat it at home so I really couldn't enjoy my Taro ice cream during my first visit. It was DELICIOUS but I was walking and eating my ice cream. That was just a bad decision. When we visited today, it was perfect.
Parking wasn't an issue and they have a few tables and stools so you are able to enjoy your ice cream immediately, especially on a hot day.
The staff was super awesome, friendly and very helpful. I love the fact that the lovely young lady that assisted us warned us that the Monster Malt was 44 oz. Holy moly, that's huge. We're so happy because we didn't want to go into a diabetic coma as well as be up all night. She absolutely rocked! I was able to sample Handel's Frosted Animal Cookie and the Mister sampled the Black Cherry. In both samples, there were chunks of cookie and cherries.
Today, I ordered the Green Tea and the Mister chose the Bluebery Cobbler 22 oz. malt shake. The Green Tea was delicious and tasted just like Green Tea with cream. The Mister's Blueberry Cobbler tasted exactly like a piece of Blueberry Cobbler with chunks of comforting cobbler crumbles. You'll definitely need to use your straw or a spoon to get the pieces from the bottom of the cup during the final moments of devouring the malt milk shake! So comforting!
We'll definitely be back to try the sorbets and ices. I really want to try the Mango and Mixed Berry sorbets as well as the Lemon Ice!
The pricing to portioning can't be beat. It's more affordable than all the competitors I've visited so it's perfect to take the family for a treat!

Read moreI just donât understand the hype. This was my first time trying Handelâs ice cream and my expectations were high due to all the buzz⌠I was very disappointed.
I ordered 2 flavors, pistachio and strawberry. Some pistachio ice creams come with almonds or maraschino cherries, I was happy to hear that theirs was just pistachio ice cream with actual pistachio nuts. The amount of nuts was generous but the flavor was just OK and the texture was not creamy.
The strawberry ice cream did not have any strawberry pieces and it also lacked a creamy feel. Handelâs promotes freshly made but I think Haagen Daz made months ago, only available in the deep freezer tastes much, much better and their strawberry is loaded with actual fruit.
There is no place to sit inside and it eat. I asked for it in a cup and the cup was the most ridiculously designed cup you can imagine. It was almost as if she handed it to me upside down, she didnât.
As far as positives, the young woman who helped me was extremely friendly and welcomed me when I told her it was my first time there. The scoops were a healthy size and the price was less expensive than I thought it would be. There is plenty of parking. They also do fundraisers, I just donât think the ice cream is good enough to bother looking into it for my...
Read moreLet me be perfectly clear: I did not come here for just the ice cream (though itâs divine). I came here for Brooks. The way he wields a scooper is nothing short of art. Watching him glide through frozen cream is like witnessing a maestro conduct a symphonyâevery motion smooth, intentional, and graced with effortless charm.
Brooks doesnât simply hand you a cone. He delivers it with the kind of reverence usually reserved for crown jewels. He makes you believe your triple scoop of Black Raspberry Chunk is the most important thing happening in the universe. And for those few sacred momentsâit is.
His presence radiates warmth. Somehow, amidst the chaos of a line curling out the door, Brooks greets every single person as if theyâre an old friend heâs been waiting all day to see. His smile is brighter than Handelâs neon sign. His patience could tame the most indecisive child staring down forty flavors. His cheer doesnât just scoop ice cream; it scoops up your whole spirit.
If Handelâs Ice Cream is the stage, then Brooks is its star performer. The cones melt, the sundaes disappear, but the memory of Brooks handing you that perfectly rounded, gravity-defying scoop? That lingers.
Five stars for Brooks. And five more for the universe conspiring to place him behind that...
