Update: I had a VERY minor incident when I was here that ruined my entire perception of a great, cool experience. Basically customer service is a team effort and one weak link can ruin it for all the others trying really hard to please the customer. I received a nice message from the owner (who I interacted with there and had a great conversation about Bonnaroo while I was there and who obviously is well schooled in customer service and knows how to do retail). Sounds like message was received. It's a neat deal and a cool spot. If you are near there you should pop by........ I removed my negative stuff. They had five stars before. They now deserve a sixth

A very very very cool spot to get a coffee. The VW bus is mindblowingly cool. The place was absolutely packed with a cool mix of people....locals, tourists, kids and even some male/female hikers that were obviously doing a serious hike with huge packs and bedrolls. The coffee was fantastic. The owner was exceptionally nice. The young lady that came out to help was nice.

I LOVED the idea of Stella, and selling coffee out of her...Stella being the VW van Libby owns. I loved her take on a specialty coffee shop in such a unique and funky town. I loved it so much I started following the journey on IG and planned to stop by in 2019, but by the time I got to Grand Marais, she was closed up for the season.

When I planned a girl's trip, priority one was to stop by Stella, say hi to Libby, and have this so hyped and loved coffee. Well, hot chocolate for me as I don't like coffee.

In the time between being closed for the season, to getting there in June of 2020, there was now a cafe with a whole unique, but very Upper Peninsula vibe. I LOVED it! And the cinnamon rolls are the best in town!

My girl friends and I loved our drinks also.

I made a stop back in September with my boyfriend, and while waiting in line we met some nice people, so it's also a great place to stop and talk and meet all different types of people.

I was finally able to share a similar experience today wife my wife Amanda on a little anniversary road trip to Grand Marais. She had told me about this cute little coffee/gift shop in town with the VW Bus Stella, where she had stopped at while on a girls trip. We where happily greeted by the nice lady in the VW bus window and our order was taken, while we waited for our pancake latte, ice dirty chai, and the breakfast pasties we went into the gift shop full of neat little treasures. When inside we were greeted again by the another nice lady inside. The coffee was excellent the price is not even a issue and went well with our breakfast pasties. Which also were So Good! We spent some time enjoying everything and after purchasing a few things from inside we just relaxed at the picnic table thinking about our past 22yrs of marriage, such a great memory made and will definitely be a stop next time and every time we are up that way.
