Boquerón Bakery — Restaurant in Cabo Rojo

Can’t say much about the food because we only ordered Cuba sandwich and 2 lattes and they were good just wish they have cream for my latte 🤣 would be miracle but it’s ok I guess all Latinos around the world they only drink their coffee with milk. In our experience at this bakery this morning was great!! The most part that we as customer feel valued and respected is amazing. The excellent care for customer service was beyond expectations with the people I interact today. From taking orders patiently (the guy with glasses a bit older but still look sharp) not only patience but he also divides our Cuban sandwich to two separate plates, knowing that I’ll shared the sandwich with my husband (he wasn’t that hungry at the time) to the last person behind the coffee station near the entrance door (young skinny pretty lady, didn’t get the chance to know her name but she probably would know who I was since I’m the Asian looking face that speak Spanish to her) when I told her I need to go now due we need to be somewhere in certain time and asked for the lid for my coffee cup she saw I had my unfinished sandwich on the plate with side chips, she was not only handed me the lid she also offered me the brown bag to put my unfinished breakfast sandwich and small tiny cup for the chips lol. This place is awesome, and the negative review from yesterday is 180 degrees different from reality regarding "Monica". Unfortunately, I witnessed the episode and the staff handled the situation professionally despite the client's degrading comments towards the employee. I am visiting the island for a week and had been having breakfast there every day, in addition to the delicious food great prices and selection, all staff are awesome, genuine and make you feel at home. Several patrons witnessed the incident and we all agree the customer was out of line and was using slurs regarding the employees job as if working at a bakery was a shameful position. I was utterly disgusted with the client's comments and spoke to the staff yesterday, giving a huge high five to 'Monica' for handling the situation properly and without using insults. Again, this...

We stopped by Boqueron Bakery for breakfast we could take on the road. Our experience was very positive. The staff inside were extremely friendly and spoke both Spanish and English. They were patient with me and explained the sandwich and baked good options they offered. I ordered a few sandwiches and quesitos which were hot and tasty. The sandwiches were made to order and took a few minutes to come out of the kitchen. This spot was open mid week which was great since many of the local eateries are only open Thursday-Monday.

This place is worth a stop if you are in the southwest region...
