Nuse's Deli — Restaurant in Caernarvon Township

Hubby and I must have driven by this place at least a half a dozen times whenever we're road tripping in the area but we finally stopped for lunch a couple of weekends ago. The weather was really nice that day so we were able to eat outside on the front deck in the warm sunshine so I went inside to order while hubby saved our table (doesn't seem to matter what time of day it is, this place is super popular and for good reason). We decided to get the large Italian Cold cut to share and got a side of onion rings on the side and within 10 minutes of ordering our food was brought out to our table by the super nice young lady who took my order (the entire staff is really nice and make everyone feel like a regular/local). The sub was so stuffed with freshly cut meats and veggies that I could barely close the roll and it was very tasty but the onion rings, WOW, the best hubby and I have ever had and that says a lot considering we're in our 50's. Your mileage may vary. I have eaten at this deli several times and I want to continue supporting this local business, and I hope that this review serves as constructive criticism for them to fix some of their issues. I know that they have a young staff but the repeated mistakes make it hard to justify eating here.

About two weeks ago, I ordered a buffalo chicken cheesesteak and there was a full sheet of plastic mixed inside of the sandwich - the kind of plastic that might come packaged with sliced cheese or frozen meat.

Last night I paid for a 5 piece of chicken but only received 3 and there was a hair in my food.

Again, I’ve had other experiences where I enjoyed my food, in particular the Italian hoagies I’ve ordered from here. But it seems to matter who is preparing your order. I hope they manage to fix their consistency and quality issues so that I can continue to support local business...

We recently moved into the area and thought we would try out this deli and we placed an order for pick-up. Although their onion rings were delicious, I cannot say anything positive about their cheesesteaks. We ordered cheesesteaks with sauce and fried onions. What we got was cheesesteaks with fried onions and KETCHUP..not marinara sauce...KETCHUP. When I called to complain I was told by the manager that unless we specifically ask for marinara sauce; you get KETCHUP. When I told her that this is not indicated anywhere on the menu; it didn't matter. They didn't offer to make it right, a possible future discount; nothing of the sort. The owner was very rude and told me that if I didn't like how they make their food, then throw it in the trash. She didn't care. I suggest you not patronize an establishment that would treat a new...
