Asked waitress upon arrival if we should just sit anywhere. Was given a very curt "well yeeeaah" Drink order was taken, drinks arrived. A bit of a delay until food order was taken but food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Fries were not hot but still edible. Deep fried fish had quite a collection of oil as though not fried in hot enough oil. Ketchup container on the table was almost empty so snitched one from the table next to us. It too was almost empty. A party of 7 came in as we finished our meal. The waitress took their drink order, went and got their drinks. Then she took their appetizer order, disappeared for some time, returning with their appetizers. I attempted to get her attention to ask for our check but she again disappeared not returning for at least 15 minutes. About two minutes before she returned, another woman came over and asked if we wanted our check. Yes, very much so. When the waitress did return she finally came over to our table and asked if we were ready for our check. We explained that someone else had just gone to get it. She apologized for the delay without any explanation and then returned her attention to the table of 7. She actually apologized to that table whom had not had any delay saying that "everyone called off". While I can appreciate how diffucult it is when a restaurant is short staffed, there is no excuse for repeatedly ignoring a table that needs their check. There were many opportunities for her to get our check to us in between taking and getting the other parties drink and appetizer orders. This is not a place that I will visit again. Very outdated atmosphere with a lingering smell of cigarette smoke from years past when smoking was allowed. As we exited and I went to push open the door, I was disgusted at the grime on the door. As I stepped out of the door, I almost fell due to poor lighting and a step down that was not...

Patio seating was dirty and uncomfortable. Took long time for food to be served. Soup or salad comes with dinner entree. My girl friend and I each ordered soup. We were served a crock of soup each. After receiving the bill I noticed we were charged an additional $3.98 for each crock which we didnt order. Waitress argued that she told us the soup we ordered dis not come with the entree. She did not make us aware and it did not indicate this on the menu. Bill came to $48. Food was poor quality for the price. The haddock was wet and mushy. Paid the bill but told waitress we were not happy about additional $8 charge so that was her tip. Manager came out as we were leaving and began mumbling insults and saying we wouldnt pay bill and left the waitress to pay after we already paid all of bill. She was very confrontational while we were exiting the property. We found it to be unprofessional and embarrassing. I wouldnt wish for anyone else to have to endure this very disappointing...

Was in the area with a buddy of mine to pick up some farm equipment and we stopped in for lunch. Fell in love with the place. The place and the staff makes me wish I lived an hour closer. It has that old bar feel that I remember from long long ago. Staff seems down to earth and friendly our waitress seemed very cool and a bit snarky but in a very fun, playful kind of way that I really like. (Ill take a real person personality over a "professional" stuffed shirt anytime) Had the A1 cheese steak and Buttered Shrimp. was very very good. Buddy has a BLT and some sort of crab fries. He also enjoyed very much. Great tasting food, good people, and cold beer. What else could you want. Told my buddy to let me know if he was ever going back up that way again. Hell. I may even make the hour and a half trek by myself sometime...

We came here for lunch. I got a mimosa to drink and I got the grilled cheese with bacon and tomato. Along with the French onion soup. The soup was very good, a little too salty for my taste but that's personal preference. The grill cheese was yummy but the French fries seemed like they came out of a frozen bag but seasoned. My partner got fried shrimp and fries with the cordon blue bites. He had no complaints. You can definitely smell smoke here even though it's not a smoking bar anymore. They do have the smoke eater fans going which is nice. The bartender Jamie and the waitress were very kind and did a wonderful job. We will be definitely be back.

My favorite place to grab a drink. Family owned, well priced drinks, good food, good music (touch tunes jukebox and dj/karaoke on weekends), great staff/owners, friendly patrons and fun atmosphere. Almost never completely dead/boring but not over crowded either. The main bar area allows smoking, has a pool table, electronic dartboard, and atleast 5 different slot machine screens or you can go out to the patio to enjoy the night air while still enjoying the music, drinks and food. They also have a separate non-smoking, family friendly, dining room with another pool table.

This place has that historic (opened 1790, been owned by same family for over 70 years) small town charm. If only these walls could talk! Service was excellent from both a prompt as well as friendly perspective. Burger and fries as well as chicken parm were great. Prices were very reasonable. Mens room was run down. They have two pool tables and a really big and nice fireplace. They also have a jukebox. This is a great place to grab lunch on a Saturday after touring the classic auto mall. Other patrons seemed nice. Ill definitly be back!
