Edit: June 2025. This place never disappoints. Jen was our server and was great. I had the swordfish with Asian soy glaze. It was delicious. Another favorite of mine is the basil pesto salmon.
Staff wore masks, and gloves - gloves did more harm than good. But I'm guessing they make staff wear gloves, because that's what their customers demand. First all the covid 19 stuff- I called on a Tuesday morning and the soonest we could get a reservation was for Thursday 4:30 pm, the covid 19 reduced restaurant seating makes it even harder to get into a popular restaurant. They did have a tent set up in the parking lot for some outdoor dining. All the staff had masks and gloves on. Our waitress, who wad otherwise awesome, kept adjusting her mask while wearing her black nitrile gloves. She also touched my shoulder wirh her gloved hand. Did she wash her gloved hands or change gloves frequently? I doubt it, but I don't know. I'd rather we just focus more on handwashing than gloves, but that's just me. That's why I deducted one star.
I had swordfish, which was DELICIOUS! We were seated shortly after 4:30 pm and between when we ordered and when the table beside us got seated and ordered, they ran out of swordfish. Their loss, my gain haha! The house salad and the side of garlic cheddar mashed potatoes were excellent. Our waitress, as well as other staff, were very attentive with checking on us and keeping the drinks topped off and dirty plates cleared away.
I had a glass of wine. Our bill before tip for four people was just under $100 (we didn't order appetizers or dessert). Worth the money. Call plenty far in advance of when you want to dine there if restrictions are still in place due to the...
Read moreThey need a new supplier for their meats, one of the worst steaks I have ever gotten in a long time. Arrived on Sunday around 5pm or so. We were able to get a table outside pretty quick which was really nice. I ordered the new york strip medium rare and my boyfriend got the fried pork chops. Upon receiving the dishes, mine was so thick it was nowhere near a new york strip just by the look of it. His food however, looked good. Unfortunately I was unable to cut through my steak as it was well done and very rough so I has to send mine back which I don't usually do but only when it's necessary. Boyfriends pork chops was dry but he continued to eat it as it came with a gravy sauce which helped him out. I cut mine in half and let the waitress know that I will have to send this back as it wasn't what I ordered. She was really nice about it and understanding. One of the cooks came and gave me the 2nd steak. First cut near the tip was a bit tough but was able to get through. Took a bite and the seasoning/ flavor was better than the first and they got the correct temp inside right but the cut of meat was horrible yet again as I began to try and cut more of it and eventually couldnt cut it in half. The manager come out to see what the issue was and how he could help. He was very nice about it and listened to what the problem was. Since this was my second steak that came back terrible and tough to cut and eat as it was full of tendons and chewy, I accepted his offer to just remove it from the bill. I didn't want anything else at that point. Side salad Caesar was full of white...
Read moreWe had a great experience at The Boundary House! For appetizers, we started with the Firecracker Shrimp and the Honey Croissants. The shrimp had great flavor, though the breading was a little loose — still very tasty. The croissants were light, airy, and delicious; I just would’ve liked a touch more honey butter, but overall still very good.
I had the Caesar salad and my husband ordered the potato soup. The salad was decent, and the soup had a nice flavor, though it was a bit watery and slightly salty for my taste. They did mention all dressings are made in-house, which I appreciated!
We arrived on a Thursday around 5:30 PM and were surprised to see how busy it was. To avoid a long wait, we chose to sit at the bar, and honestly, I’m glad we did — the service was AMAZING. The food came out fast and hot, and the bar staff was super attentive.
For our entrées, I ordered the blackened salmon and my husband got the surf and turf, he got the filet blackened too and a fried crab cake it was soooo good . Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted incredible. I got a side of Thai chili sauce for the salmon, and it added a great little kick.
One thing that really stood out was how many of the bar guests the manager and staff seemed to know by name — it gave off a great, welcoming vibe and made it clear this place has a strong base of regulars. You can really tell the staff cares.
Highly recommend if you’re in the area — just plan ahead, because...
