Stopped into Calabash Creamery because my wife was craving ice cream. She had the banana split and I had a hot chocolate with pumpkin spice. They were both pretty good. As you walk in you're heated with a large counter with a large selection of home made ice cream flavors. There is a freezer off to the side with a number of pints that are in grab and go containers. You step up to the counter where you're able to see the available flavors. There are signs stating that samples are not available due to the pandemic. They offer so many flavors I hope they begin to allow samples again someday. Once you choose your ice cream you'll be asked about whipped cream and anything else you may want. You pay at the right end of the counter. They also offer bottled drinks in a cooler next to the area where you pay. They offer bottled water, root beer, etc. This is a great place for Pineapple ice cream. Multiple people asked for this flavor while we were waiting. I'll be back.

Calabash Creamery has always been our favorite ice cream place. We try to come a couple times each time we visit. Love how they give samples and most importantly give the kids free sprinkles!!

It LOOKS like a great ice cream store, it SMELLS great, but their ice cream has ZERO flavor. We've been here maybe 7 or 8 times during the summers (at least 5 times in 2018 and twice in 2019) and I just don't get the appeal. Had key lime pie ice cream the other day and it had maybe 1/3 of the lime flavor you'd expect. Should have been labeled HINT of lime. All their flavors are like this. Oh and they have extremely limited flavors that they'll use to make a milkshake. My son specifically wanted a milkshake but they wouldn't let him have any of the flavors he wanted.

PEOPLE WITH ALLERGIES BEWARE!!! My little party of four came in for some ice cream. We are travelers from out of state so this was our first experience. My brother in law has a severe tree nut allergy. He wanted a milkshake. We noticed while we were waiting in line that there was two milkshake machines. When he got up to order he made the employees aware of his allergy and requested that the milkshake machine be cleaned real quick (like every single other ice cream place he’s been to has done…including The Dairy Hut owned by Boulineau’s). All that was requested was that hot water and some soap be used on the machine and to rinse out the cup. No tear down of the machine and no heavy cleaning was needed. The young lady helping was very kind, no problem there. Our problem was found when the MANAGER told the young lady that they could not clean the milkshake machine and ā€œhe cannot have a milkshakeā€. The middle aged- blonde haired manager that was working at the register literally told her employee to tell us my brother in law could not have a milkshake. It was so crazy and rude. She let business just walk right out the door. We personally will...

Plan to return here as often as possible! My son is allergic to all nuts. I messaged the business through Facebook Messenger to decide if going to get ice cream there was an option for him. Quick response letting me know that...

"We have all nut flavors grouped together in one dipping cabinet. You will want to choose from the first dipping cabinet that has NO NUT flavors in it. We also serve soft serve ice cream & sorbets that do not come in contact with any nuts or nut oils... let the staff know and they will wash the scoop for you before serving you."

When we walked into Calabash Creamery, I mentioned that he was allergic to all nuts. The young lady was will versed and trained in what to do, offered my son choices from the safe cabinet, offered to wash and sanitize the scoop without a second thought, and told me that she would scoop from untouched part of the bucket to lower chances even more. Ice cream shops have always been an issue with his allergies. Not today! Thank you so much!!!

Also, the ICE CREAM IS AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!! Could not ask for better. Do yourself a favor and buy your...

we come here every summer and have always had a pleasant experience. the ice cream is to die for and the customer service is always amazing. today we took a trip there and had yet another beautiful experience! it was slower today (it’s a monday so to be expected) so we were able to have conversation w the people working and i have nothing but great things to say about Kaitlyn and Dan! both were extremely patient and kind to our 3 kiddos when helping pick out ice cream! Dan went above and beyond in helping me discover a new love for the flavor Bourbon Butter Pecan (forgive me if that’s not exactly the name). sooo delicious! on top of their friendly demeanor, i was taking pictures of my kiddos w the cows outside of the building and Dan so kindly went out of his way to ask if he could take a picture of the whole family. Calabash Creamery was already a for sure place for us to come on our vacations but even more so now. thank you Dan and Kaitlyn for making this the best...
