Update ,went for dinner yesterday. Milk and Honey in Calabash, NC is a standout gem that’s truly worth visiting! This family-owned and operated restaurant has recently started offering dinner, and my visit yesterday was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped in, I felt welcomed and valued. The team here excels at making every guest feel special and is incredibly attentive to all needs. Their service is impeccable, going above and beyond to ensure a delightful dining experience. The quality of the food is unparalleled. Each dish is not only beautifully presented but also delicious, made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. This commitment to using local produce really shines through in every bite and adds a wonderful touch of authenticity to the dining experience. Even with such high quality, the prices remain reasonable, making it accessible without compromising on excellence. The menu is impressively diversified, offering something to satisfy every palate. Whether you're a foodie looking for innovative options or someone who enjoys classic dishes, you’ll find something to love. The bar menu is another highlight – innovative and handled by an experienced bartender skilled in crafting even the most delicate orders. Watching them mix drinks is a treat in itself! What’s even more impressive is that the chef is always on site and ready to accommodate any dietary needs, ensuring that everyone has a memorable meal tailored to their preferences. With its lovely outdoor seating area, Milk and Honey is perfect for any occasion, be it a romantic evening or a special event. I highly recommend this restaurant for its outstanding service, superb quality, and wonderfully reasonable prices. Can't wait to come back!Food to die for, presentation outstanding, service 5 stars because every need is anticipated, stuff very frequently and professional.Libations Manu can please...

The best things about the restaurant was the building itself and the portions. Other than that it is definitely a miss.

My kid is allergic to eggs but eats and loves bacon amd pancakes. The only meal they had for him including pancakes and bacon also came with egg. We asked if he could substitute literally anything for the egg. Was told No. I ordered an omelet with chicken and guacamole. The chicken had absolutely no flavor. Was just a piece of dry chicken in an omelet. I ran out of water early into eating. The waitress recognized I was out of water and that my toast was completely burnt to the point of almost being unedible. She said she would bring more toast. I asked if first she would please get me water. She then went to a large table of 13 people, took their order, then entered their order into the system and then brought me toast that was now the opposite of burnt and looked untoasted. I had to remind her to bring me more water. A couple came in, sat beside us, waited for about 10 minutes for someone to take their drink order. Nothing. So they eventually got up and left. Once they left the waitress and hostess then made fun of them to another table. Lastly, a small issue but still an issue with the environment. There is a leaking roof just between the front door and hostess area. So instead of fixing the leak, they placed 2 potted plants under the leak so that every drip waters the plants.

So overall we spent $55 on breakfast that was bland and with wait staff that weren't very good. I personally will never go back. It really is a shame because the building is very nice and they could have a great little restaurant if they were to put forth...

I'm a local who has been here multiple times. Do not eat here.

1.) I just ate here again today and got VIOLENTLY ILL. My food (Knife & Fork sandwich) came out room temperature/cold. They "remade" it and it was warm, but not as warm as it should be if its made fresh. It is clearly not made fresh to order. They leave the premade food sitting out unheated which is dangerous as bacteria is allowed to grow.

2.) Also today, our silverware was dirty. One knife had some kind of green vegetable dried up and stuck on it. My silverware was sticky and visibly dirty.

3.) Previously - The gravy on the chicken fried steak was ice cold.

4.) Previously - Waitress was high on drugs.

5.) Previously - We sat outside and there were TONS of flies everywhere, all over our food. They brought these cheap little amazon spinny things which helped a little, but why they haven't screened the patio in after all these years is beyond me. Ridiculous.

6.) Previously - I ordered a drink that was on the specials menu, some kind of apple cinnamon drink. The bartenders didn't know how to make it (our waitress told us so) and it was mostly milk with a little bit of apple flavored whiskey in it. Not very good. And why is it on the menu if they don't know how to make it?

I cannot recommend eating here at all. It is not safe, the food is not cooked fresh or kept at safe temperatures which is the #1 reason. We will NEVER...

Soooo… I had a hair in my eggs, disgusting. But let me start from the beginning. We asked to be seated outside as the weather was lovely, one couple was already seated there. When we sat down, the table was very dirty and dusty, I understand, it’s right by the road, so it will happen. So I politely asked the server to wipe the table, she did but only a half of the table, which was interesting lol so I took my napkin and cleaned the rest, it was very dirty. The server did pick it up and took it off the table. We were waiting for a bit, she brought the mimosas out, which were not really fresh and with the sediment, so we needed to stir it before drinking. I wasn’t sure if it was premade or they just poured the juice first and champagne on top, which is not the right way to do it. But whatever, I didn’t want to argue, we just had it as is. Then the food came out, and it was pretty good until I ate half of it and saw the dark short hair in my eggs. I did come to the manager and she offered to replace it but I didn’t want to wait another half an hour, I said I didn’t want it. She said she would take it off the bill, though we were fully charged for everything. We pointed it out but we were still charged. Well, our appetite was spoilt. Well, that’s my experience and definitely not ever coming back there. Oh yes, and the fruit wasn’t freshly cut either.
