Bagel Bistro — Restaurant in California

This place is actually close to me and I was really excited about it initially. We got a jalapeño cheese and a bagel dog. Unfortunately as we were consuming the bagel dog my partner discovered a green circular mold inside of the hotdog itself. It was warmed we bought and consumed it on the same day (within the hour of purchase). After finding this I tried calling the bagel shop just to notify them but no one answered. Today I tried calling again and was able to get in touch with someone. I didn't ask for a refund and explained what happened. I simply wanted to alarm them of what happened and they told me the bagel dog is contracted out from a vendor. That they would not even notify the vendor unless I brought to them the molded bagel dog. I explained I have a picture in which they told me was not enough. So now I am posting it here to help spread awareness about it since they refused to do anything about it.

I wouldn't recommend. I just looked at their yelp photos and this is not the first time they have sold...

This review is so long overdue I have been coming here for the past 3 years and every time I come in it's nothing but exceptional. The owners & staff are always so nice and welcoming. They always acknowledge you upon entry. I have gotten bagels with cream cheese just the basics but I also try there specialty bagels as well. My go to is their Sun Dried Supreme on an Everything Bagel and I add Ham & Avocado. I also replace there egg whites with their plant based egg substitute "just egg" brand egg. I have a mild allergy to eggs so I'm so grateful they have alternatives. You just have to ask. The ambiance is great if you wanna come for a lil coffee date or even to study for a bit this place is great. I like how there always so tidy even there restroom is always clean. Recently opened and will certainly give a great alternative to '5bucks' nearby. They really did a great job with the interior. It comfortable and warm. Bagels are fresh and really good. Had breakfast bagel and it was prepared perfectly. Coffee was good. The really went way beyond here with comfort. Upholstered bench seating available as well as thoughtful and numerous power outlets. Common courtyard has plenty of cafe tables and umbrellas. Definitely an awesome sunrise coffee...
