Beach Hut Deli — Restaurant in California

Recently, I had my first visit to Beach Hut Deli and I chose the McClellan Park location because it's the closest to my house. The sandwich was really delicious, top quality! The cashier was very polite and professional, and even though he was new, he was quite proficient. The only negative I experienced is the wait time. I was informed they were working on an online order, but I was surprised at least 1 of the 3 ladies making sandwiches DID NOT pull away to focus on the walk in orders. As someone who works in Business Process Improvement, I have to say the current process needs Improvement...no customer should have to wait more than 5-7 minutes for a sandwich; I waited for over 15 minutes and was the only customer in the Deli. So for food taste and quality I give 5 stars! But for service timeliness I can only give 2 stars, so I'll split the difference and give a total of 3 stars for...

This was my 1st time ever going to a Beach Hut restaurant. The ladies that were working were very kind to guide me through the sandwiches and to help me decide which would be the appropriate size sandwich for me to order. I decided to go with the Surfin' Bird as pictured, I ordered a small as recommended, and it surely filled me up! There were lots of great selections on the menu however I'm a softy when it comes to bacon, avocado, and cream cheese! The restaurant also had bathrooms on sale bathrooms on site where you are able to wash your hands before eating your meal. The spicolli sandwich is pretty darn good. If you add raw onion it's even better. The problem I have with them is they don't always read the order specifications like putting cooked onions or none at all instead of raw. One time I got the sandwich with the cheese cold and unmelted though the menu says it is supposed to be. The staff seem like they are more concerned with getting product out the door instead of getting it correct. Often I call in to get the order going for a pick up but it mostly goes to a message that sends me a link via text to order online. Ordering online doesn't let me make customizations.
