Sol Cubano is an unexpected and total DELIGHT!! Very friendly greeting as we walked in. Felt like coming into a home, fresh, clean, cozy and lovely. We ordered the oxtail. So absolutely filled with flavor from the first uber-delicious bite to the very last of it! Never have I had such a comforting beefy, tender flavor filled oxtail as this!! The rice with beans was just as amazing with a completely different array of mouth-watering goodness!! Tostones were the sweetest, tender and had just the slightest crunch!Everything arrived fresh and steaming hot! Nobody does that anymore! Amazing accomplishment. Loved their chilie sauce on the table - which Mama Mia needs to be sold separately as take home. If all this wasn't enough enjoyment, then came the flan. I guessed it would be good. I was NOT prepared that it was actual perfection! I could eat it all day!!! If it were possible to give Sol Cubano 10 STARS it wouldn't be enough. Go get some NOW, before I buy all the...

Sol Cubano is like a little hole in the wall burst of flavor. It literally is the only caribbean restaurant in Sacramento. If only we had more like Miami but who am I kidding :o .. I do love the dinner plate Ropa Vieja,(shredded beef in a sauce) however, the times I've come it has tasted different each time. Some really good, some not the greatest. So I have now been ordering the Carne de Res con papa (beef chunks with potatoes) so far so good. I always order an order of Tostones (fried green plaintains) y Maduros (fried sweet plaintains) & my dinner always ends with a Cortado ( cuban espresso) & un pastellito de guayaba (guava pastry). Being a Puerto Rican/Cuban in Sacramento is so hard because there literally are NO restaurants with our food. So when I am feeling homesick I always drop in! Give it a try! The downfall is they are ONLY OPEN 4days/wk (Wednesday-Saturday) #FriendlyService #Welcoming...

Sol Cubano: A Taste of Home Worth Every Mile! Stepping into Sol Cubano is like being transported straight to a Cuban kitchen, filled with the warmth and incredible aromas of authentic home cooking. As someone who grew up on the real deal, I can confidently say that Sol Cubano delivers "amazing, authentic Cuban food" that truly reminds me of my mom's cherished recipes.

Every dish I've tried has been a masterpiece, bursting with flavors that are both rich and comforting. It's clear that passion and tradition go into every plate.

While it's a two-hour drive for me, I can tell you without hesitation that it is absolutely "worth the 2-hour drive." If it wasn't for the distance, I would be back far more often. Sol Cubano isn't just a meal; it's an experience that hits all the right notes and leaves you feeling completely satisfied. I...

This place rocks! Small, quaint. The owner was very personable and funny. The food was delicious! We each had the lechon asado, picadillo, ropa vieja, and pollo empanizado. The rice and beans were awesome! We had the platanos maduros and tostones and no complaints. To finish it off, we had a cafe con leche and flan. Very satisfying. Not too sure if there are more Cuban restaurants in the area, but you won't go wrong with this joint and it's great to support local small businesses. Oh, ask for the batido de guanabana🙃😜

I wanted a quick snack while exploring the stores on Watt so I ordered croquetas and papa rellenos to go and they were ready fast. OMG the croquetas were hot, crispy and so delicious I've never had anything like the taste and texture I can't wait to eat them again and try more from the menu! And you can't go wrong with mashed potato and beef spheres of fried crispy perfection! I Love being able to visit Cuba from my backyard thank you for existing Sol Cubano!
