The restaurant has a nice interior, it's very clean and gives you a good lively diner atmosphere.
I usually post pictures of food on my reviews but when I arrived for my pick up order, 25 minutes after having ordered (5 minutes after the scheduled pick up time) my food was no where to be seen (yet there were other to go orders prepped and ready).
The manager states it was because I ordered an Egg's Benedict and they stopped serving it at the time of my arrival/order. (On their ordering platform it gives you no warning that breakfast items stop being served past 11. It doesn't even stop you from ordering breakfast items nor categorizes them based on time served)
Yet somehow my order still was allowed to go through and my card charged. The manager did do a charge back but nothing was offered up in compensation for the waste of my time other than them asking me if I wanted something else instead.
It's lunch time, I ordered and paid 20 minutes ahead so I could pick up my lunch and eat it and be back at work in time. There was no possible way this compensation would have worked out in my favor.
They could have called back or emailed back to let me know the order could not be processed because of their store policy or an error on the website that somehow let me ordered something they couldn't serve.
They could, at the very least, had made an exception and just made the Eggs Benedict (there's a difference between we stopped serving that meal vs. we no longer have the ingredients to make that meal) while fixing the error that allowed me to order the Egg Benedict.
Or at the very least offer me some kind of discount for having spent my time ordering, paying, driving there, and waiting for pick up, only to be told they made a mistake on their ordering platform.
I rarely leave 2 or 1 star reviews but I believe service is an integral part of the restaurant industry because it is 100000% a service industry. (You literally serve people food) There's got to be some strong correlation/causation between service and food quality. You can have terrible service if there is absolutely breathtaking food.
That all being said, I hope they fix whatever error on their side that has caused this otherwise they are charging people for food they "aren't" serving. You shouldn't have an online ordering system that allows you to order something on the menu that isn't being served.
This review has no correlation to their food quality because there is no way I can review that because the restaurant was unable to actually cook or serve the food that I ordered...

Read moreI’m so disappointed with Bella Bru in how they handle food safety concerns and customer satisfaction. We’ve been long time Bella Bru customers and frequent the restaurant almost weekly. I ordered the French dip sandwich and part of the meat was too undercooked, not medium rare, looked raw. I already ate half the sandwich before I noticed the other half was raw and immediately stopped eating. Our server was very busy (the couple next to us eventually left because of no service), so it took a long time to get her attention. By the time she came over, the rest of my family already finished eating. The manager offered to re-make my sandwich, however, since my family was already done, I didn’t want to wait any longer. I also didn’t want to eat more food in case I did get sick. Although my concern was food safety, the manager declined to comp my whole meal and offered 50% off because I ate half the sandwich. I understand if a customer eats half a meal, then complains they don’t like it, only 50% off. However, my concern was that I may have already eaten half a sandwich that was undercooked! Before I wrote this post, I returned to Bella Bru to talk to a different manager. She informed me that it is the owners policy to reimburse only 50% even if a customer accidentally eats half a meal that is rare and there is a risk the customer can get sick.
This used to be my favorite restaurant & this is no reflection on the great morning cashiers. They know my favorite drink and always welcomed me. Unfortunately, it’s clear the owner doesn’t value long term loyal customers and because of her strict law like policy on not addressing food safety concerns & complete disregard of customer satisfaction, we will no...
