The chili relleno was lovely, with plenty of melted cheese and perfect coating. The beans and rice were good. Shredded beef in the taquitos was not too shredded: it tended to break off in chunks. The green and red salsa are both tasty and savory, yet not very spicy. I say this as a white person but I'm California gen X so I'm used to more heat. My parents would think this was perfect, so... to each they own. They have draft beer here! I got a Dos X, like, 20 ounces! My friend said that the taco he got was superb; I saw it: big! Full of lettuce and tomato and cheese and meat, I was a lil jealous. We each got the Combination, where you choose two or three items. As humble as it is, the atmosphere is good, with some window covers that block the sun but still let you look out, and the Mexican music they play was pleasant, on a nice-sounding system. I had been here years ago and the quality is still there but I personally just wish it was a lil more fire, hence the 4-star rating.

Order taking on the phone was poor ... ordered 4 tacos , burrito , and horchata drink....my son walks in and they hand him a bill for $38... , my son comes back home (he walked) and tells me the amount and shows me a receipt of the things that i was going to purchase.... they were charging him with a total of 7 tacos , burrito , and horchata....so there was a mistake , no big deal , i call el charro and spoke to esmeralda and told her what my order was suppose to be , she interupts me and tells me "what " "do you want it for free!!!!.....at this point i was upset... and i told her at what point did i give you a clue that i wanted it for free...i was trying to get my order straighten out ....so she just left the phone and handed it to stephanie ( maybe manager) and she corrected the order in a matter of a minute .......well the day goes on ....i hope esmeralda realizes what she said was...
