My first visit to Etna Fish Market and I am please. Family owned business in a unassuming small mom & pop shop.
Now let me set your expectations... First and foremost if you are bougie or in a bougie mood during your visit, this is not the place for you. This shop is no frills or thills. You will not be showered with love and affection and the typical customary pleasantries. When it is your turn to order the staff is very direct to the point and they are very focused on completing orders.
It felt a little odd at first but, then I noticed every one present was always working and the phone was always ringing. A steady stream of people came in to pick up orders and a few came in person to order.
The only issue I had was when my order was complete no one called my number. I only asked when the numbers before and after me showed to pick up. No biggie, I just know to be more diligent in checking to see if my order is ready on my next visit.

Workers started to get angry like I was supposed to be satisfied with that answer and just asking why they are closed early is an insult.
No respect to customers usually means no respect for the product so if you want a worm colony or exotic bacteria as a pet - feel free to spend a ton of money...

My problem is with the total lack of customer service. The lady that took my order said absolutely nothing when I said thank you. Neither did the young man that gave me my order when it was done. I am sick and tired of being treated poorly by others who have chosen to do business in our communities. I will NEVER spend another dime at this establishment and I suggest you do the same. I will find a black owned fish market and gladly give my...
