Don't get me wrong, the food was delicious. They got my order right, and for someone who is very meticulous about the food they consume, that is a rarity. Though, what really makes the experience less enjoyable are the prices. Seriously, I went to Giant Burger with my mother and father, and the total came out to $64.89! We only got 3 burgers and fries. They charge like a restaurant instead of a burger joint, which doesn't fit the bill; no pun intended. Not to mention, the service was okay enough. For the 3 burgers and fries, the total wait time was about 12 minutes, and considering the food was made fresh and tasted good, I'd say the wait was worth it. Would I recommend this for a friend, maybe. However only certain circumstances. Those circumstances being there isn't anywhere else around, one is willing to spend a pretty penny on decent enough food, or one is adventurous and simply wants to try it for some reason. As I said, the main issue is the price of the food. I'm not saying they are outrageous but rather unnecessary. There are plenty of other places that serve better food for less money and most definitely have...

Read moreWhen I think of Giant Burger, I don't think of it as just your typical burger joint, or a pit stop on the way to or from Bear Valley and points beyond, rather I consider it an historical landmark, if you will. Restaurants have come, and many are now gone, but for those of us that grew up or passed through the small town of Arnold, Giant Burger has always been there. I can clearly remember as a young child more than 30 years ago just hanging out for hours enjoying a "Baby Burger", fries and a milkshake and playing the arcade games (things kids did before Nintendo, Xbox and PlayStation). I remember being so short I couldn't even reach the counter to order. Sure, over the years the menu has changed (of course you can still order the "Giant Burger" or its younger sibling the "Baby Burger") and so have the owners, but this establishment has been serving up small town charm to locals and passers-by since 1968 and I imagine it will continue to do so...
