Heavenly Donuts — Restaurant in California

We were staying in El Dorado county since February 6, 2022 and left on Sunday of August 7, 2022.

As strange as it is, one of my fondest memories throughout the last 3 months we spent in El Dorado county will be our various visits to Heavenly Donuts.

It has been 18 days since I last visited Heavenly Donuts with my young daughters, Sophia and Elika, respectively aged 3 years 11 months and 4.5 months now, on August 6, 2022 with my first visit having been on May 9, 2022 when my daughter said she wanted a donut after our visit to the playgroup at the Cameron Park library.

As soon as I walked in I felt a wonderful energy from Heng. The shop is very spacious.

As my daughter Sophia chose her usual chocolate donut with rainbow sprinkles, I was able to walk my then 1.5-month in the stroller to help her sleep and Heng smiled very warmly without objection.

It was then that I knew that Heavenly Donuts was going to be one of our favorite spots as humble as it is in the rural parts of Cameron Park off the 50 freeway.

Twice when we came here, Heng's sister-in-law and young niece, Elizabeth, Sophia's exact age, ran around the shop and played together. Not once did his sister-in-law object to my child having a good time with her daughter.

All of the muffins here, chocolate chip, blueberry, banana nut, and poppyseed, are absolutely delicious!!! What is more is the kind energy with which they are prepared.

Every time, I ordered coffee, Heng would immediately put out the orange container of half-and-half cream and allowed me many refills as I walked my baby daughter's stroller.

Fantastic!!! I grew up eating these donuts, but I haven't had them in about 10 years. I've lived in Chico, the Bay Area, and now Roseville and I have never found donuts as delicious as these. And I eat A LOT of donuts. In fact, I started to believe that maybe these donuts were not as good as I remember... happy to report I was wrong, they are BETTER than I remember! I got a buttermilk (literal drool coming from my mouth) and a chocolate bar. The chocolate bar has no weird oil flavor, and just the perfect amount of chocolate topping. Best donuts in El Dorado County hands down 😋🍩 I would wake up at the crack of dawn for these donuts just to try and beat the rush of people and there would still be people there before me . Donuts are so good people will wait outside for it to open. I’ve even walked for these donuts lol. I love this place.
