Came here for the first time with my wife for lunch. My first impression walking in was that the layout was very open and spacious. The seating is nice and spread out, not at all too crowded. There is also outdoor seating under the shade of a big tree if you prefer a little more fresh air.
We ordered a carne asada burrito, artichoke pasta salad, mozzarella sticks, and the jaamon basket of fries. We also picked out the japanese lager and horchata as our choice of beverage. We were also met with complimentary abasket of tortilla chips and a bowl of the house salsa, both homemade and incredibly fresh. The entres followed within a reasonable amount of time, i suspect everything is cooked to order to ensure the meals are hot and juicy.
The portions were generous, however more importantly the quality and authenticity in the flavors of our dishes were the defining traits that captured our attention. The asada cannot be passed up, make sure include it in your order. The artichoke pasta salad was bursting with flavor. It's a unique and unforgettable recipe that serves as an excellent side dish or even its own refreshing meal for those looking to cooldown with a cool and zesty bowl.
The customer service was excellent, which was the cherry on top for me. I would recommend for anyone passing through Bishop to stop here and enjoy themselves to a wonderful experience. This is a restaurant that has a lot of love invested into it, and you really feel it while...
Read moreMy second time going here as a local, and every time has been great. Honestly the service deserves 6 stars. You can start off with bottomless, really tasty chips while you start your order which are only $3 - at the 99th percentile of quality for restaurant appetizer chips [we all know those places that have mediocre tasteless filler chips]. I've gotten a basket with Carne before which I think is better for a lunch than a dinner, or maybe split about the table. We also had the quesadilla which was simple and bomber, and then the surf and turf burrito which was a great spin that I'd never experienced or thought of before. They do have a modest but high quality tap seltzer and beer selection from june lake brewing INCLUDING their stout which is a must have, and one of the better I've ever had outside of the imperial or dessert style.
All in all, as locals who eat out occasionally both in Bishop [which has a limited selection of restaurants] and Mammoth [with a much wider selection] we choose to go to Indiego or to one other place in Bishop always.
And if you're looking for burgers, they are average price and superb. There are a few burger options in town...if you're used to the brewery or Schats roadhouse, come give this place a try and I think you will be stoked.
Also saw somewhere that TEACHERS get a...

Was just driving back home from San Diego to Reno, and was so happy that this restaurant was open until 8pm!!! Staff were incredibly friendly, and the complimentary chips and salsa were just the best I have had in my life. I wish I could have bought a glass bottle of their salsa to bring back home, it was that good.
I had possibly the BEST fish tacos I have ever had, and that really was impressive after just having all kinds of tacos in San Diego. Every element of all of the food here was fantastic, and made with care. It felt like there was an attention to detail here that far surpasses that of 99.9% of restaurants. The fish was deliciously fresh, perfectly fried, accompanied by incredibly flavored sauces, and It seems like they make their own tortillas here as well as their own chips (because they taste amazing).
Every element of my friend's burger they ordered was also delicious. In addition, the burger was cooked perfectly, with a beautiful red inside, with some remarkably high quality tasting burger meat and VERY fresh tasting, flavor-chocked toppings.
I would recommend this place to anyone passing through Bishop, in addition to visiting the Erick Schat's...
