"Shade" (manager / employee) was rude to his employees/ coworkers and needs to humble himself.
I ordered a southwest salad with a drink, and received a garden salad. Only a minor issue, and I appreciated that the male employee working the register named "Shade" (likely the manager) offered to correct it, but I told him it was fine.
While I was eating in the lobby. That same employee "Shade" approached a female employee who was on break, questioned her about her break time, then returned minutes later while she was still on break to reprimand her loudly and condescendingly in front of customers about night shift tasks. Another female employee I think a "team leader" came to her defense, and he responded with the same rude tone towards both women. They were both well composed, soft-spoken, and professional despite the situation.

Now that I think about it, I got the food first and then my card back with no receipt. What did happen was I got a text message from Wells Fargo stating someone was trying to spend $297.68 and $242.56 at NikeDotCom. So of course I log into my bank and I see NO CHARGE from Jack in the Box regarding any transaction yesterday. I was there yesterday around 10:30 ish, ordered a sourdough breakfast sandwich was good. Trying to steal from me is not a wise idea.
EDIT. Followed up this post with a phone call to the "manager" , I briefly stated what had transpired. She told me"oh I remember you, we gave you free food as my card wasn't recognized by their card reader". That removed all doubts in my mind. Read moreI go to Jack in the Box, including this specific one, because they're almost always solid. They are starting to get stingy with their sauces. I went this past Sunday to grab lunch for my mom and I, ordered 4 sandwiches. One of the preps came to the counter to hand me the food and gave me two ranches and two good-good sauces. (I had to order fries from the Wienerschnitzel across the street and wanted sauce for those fries) Anyway, the food prepper seemed to pretend like she didn't speak (much) English at first. I asked for more ranch, and she asked how much. I said like 4 more and she gave me this shocked look before trying to tell me no. Another worker intervened telling me they have a new policy of two sauces per sandwich or something like that. I let him know, in that case, I still don't have enough sauces!
