Jack in the Box — Restaurant in California

Boat Owners NOT WANTED!!!

My recent trip to this Jack in the Box has me “fishing” for answers.

On 04/13/2021 at approximately 0600 hours, I encountered the most unbelievable service I’ve ever received from any eating establishment. I come to this restaurant as part as my ‘fisherman’s ritual’ before heading to El Cap lake. I’ve been here previously on multiple occasions and received adequate service, never any qualms.

On that Tuesday morning, I parked my vehicle with my boat attached on a trailer at the gas pump and walked through the front doors, which were unlocked. When I got to the front counter, I waited for an employee to take my order. I stood there for a few minutes patiently before I was finally acknowledged.

The employee working at the drive-thru window suddenly noticed me and literally only said to me, “drive thru only.” I explained my situation, stating that, “ I have a boat on my vehicle and I can not physically drive my car through the drive-thru.” She continued with her work and proceeded to ignore me, I can only assume thinking that I would walk away. And I stood there, dumbfounded. She then came back to me minutes later, suggesting that I can wait at the counter for another employee to show up, although she could not tell me when that might be. Once again, I stood there dumbfounded.

I eventually walked out and went back to my car. I had contemplated physically walking through the drive thru to place my order. I observed no cars were in the drive thru while walking back to the my vehicle. I reluctantly left, hungry, and probably won’t return.

I hope no other boat owners have to go through any of this. I will take a stand ......

This Location is absolutely ridiculous Jack in the Box claims to be open 24 hours but there not they actually shut down for awhile every morning to do a "system update" you go to any other jack in the box they offer cash sales during this time but not this Location they close for hours in the early AM claiming they are doing a system update the. entire time they have even starting putting stuff blocking the drive thru so no one will bother them wile hide in the back I also noticed they put a small sign in the drive thru window saying they would be closed for like an hour but I believe it says they would be open by 4:30 AM but yet today at 5:15 they are still closed and no one in site just like so many other morning I wonder if the owner noes that his prime location next to a busy freeway is closed for so many hours every day during prime breakfast hours when tones of people are trying to get something to eat or a coffee on there way to work the manager of this location should have been fired years ago would love to here...

I go through the drive through for breakfast about 2 or 3 times a week. I've done this for about 4 years and I always get the same thing, #22 sausage egg cheese croissant sandwich only, large coffee and orange juice. In the last 3 or 4 times my coffee had a lot of grounds in it. The first time I accepted this a mistake and just drank it (awful tbough it was). The second time I went back into the counter. They told me that's just the way it is. I asked and recieved a refund for the coffee, NO APPOLOGY. Third time I checked before leaving the drive through, same grounds. I spoke to the shift manager and was told that's the way they make the coffee now. WHAT! In what world does a restaurant believe it's okay to serve coffee like this. I will never be buying coffee here again. There are other options for me but just less convenient. There are other reasons I can provide if anyone cares. It does tell me one reason why JitB is having to close so...
