I won a gift certificate to Jim's in Prunadale a while back and gave it as a thank you to someone today. They went to the restaurant with the intention of using it to pay for part of their dinner. The staff at Jim's in prunedale refused to accept the gift certificate. They were quite rude to the person who I gave I t to, and to myself when I called them on the phone to inquire why they didn't accept the gift certificate.
In California gift certificates do not expire and they follow the business not the owner of the business.
Their claim was it was no good because the business has a new owner...which is against the law.
I will be contacting the owner tomorrow and see what they have to say as their staff said they were not in today.
I have gone to Jim's in Seaside for over 10 years and have the best experiences ever and I am shocked at what happened at the prunedale location I never expected...

On top of all that, when we left, she didn’t even say goodbye or good night. Just plain rude. If you’re that salty about working in a Chinese restaurant, maybe find another job instead of taking it out on customers.
We will not be...

The meat always appears to be quality cuts. There isn’t a lot of room for indoor dining, but they do have a small patio area outside. On this occasion, we called about twenty minutes ahead, and waited ten minutes in the restaurant for our food. While it was wary dinnertime(around 4:30), there were only three tables occupied. Again, everything is quality, so a little wait for crispy vegetables and food that hasn’t been sitting under a warming light...
