Best taco shop in Casa.
The service here is leagues better than what you get with the sullen cashier at Sarita's. Of course, you can hardly blame Sarita's employees, as it's always a jungle in there. Drunks, highschoolers, drunk highschoolers--just go to La Posta and avoid the mess. The guys at La Posta are always friendly, even the cooks when they occasionally have to ring someone up.
The food is always great, too. Tacos, burritos, chimichangas, enchiladas and more are all worthy of being served in a much fancier setting and with a higher price tag. They're liberal with the sour cream, guacamole, and hot sauce, a nice departure from other penny-pinching establishments. You'll even get chips and salsa while you wait for your order, if you're dining in. I've not had a bad thing there, so I recommend you just get what looks good!
Definitely give it a try some time. You can find good food at any of the taco shops in Casa--you've gotta be pretty dumb to make a bad taco--but unless it's 3am and I don't have the option, I'm going...
Read moreCame in on a desire to explore some taco shops out of my norm. Was in CDO for a job and gave them a Try. Read the prvious reviews and wondered how many are real and how many are the employees hyping thier own shop.
Lets find out.
Ok, so here we go. Got something really simple. Cheese quesadilla and some beans. It was pretty standard fare. Good but not special. But it was just a quesadilla and beans. Counter person was upbeat and smiley. No green sauce, which was ok. But the red sauce was odd. Tasted like canned tomatoe sauce and some tabasco or chollulas thrown in. Very tomatoey. Some shops have a really taste and some have a homemadey taste. Inside was like an old mom and pop diner like you see in old movies. Building was old so that may be why. Overall a kinda ok place. I will come back and try something more daring like Caldo de Res or carnitas. Maybe the...
Read moreOh man, where do I start. I brought my two toddlers here at 9pm on a Sunday night to just get something quick for dinner on our way home from a long exhausting day. Ordered the carne asada fries. 5 stars for presentation. Was so beautif in the box that i took a picture and sent it to friends. 5 stars for quality. Every individual fry was perfectly cooked, every piece of meat, the sour cream wasn't like it's been left out, the guac was super fresh, the tomatoes, the cheese, everything. Nothing was burnt or under cooked, nothing was too fatty or done half-assed. 5 stars for taste. Was absolute perfection. I even asked the guy working the front if it's always like this because if so I'll be here 10 times a week 🤣🤣
I wish i could give more than 5 stars. What an amazing little find and an incredibly delicious and...
