I've been looking for a cemita poblana forever (so hard to find in California but I was introduced to it in Mexico City) so I decided to check out this place. I knew this place would be good because they had a bunch of authentic Mexican dishes that are off the beaten path but popular in Mexico City. Guy at the counter was super nice. Got a cemita and a pambazo; both were delicious! The cemita had tons of papalo leaves which have a very distinct flavor that I love. It also came with Oaxacan cheese and chipotle peppers that were the best I've had. The pambazo was super flavorful with potatoes, chorizo, and crema and actually was my favorite of the two. Definitely want to try the tlayuda and the barbacoa next time I stop in Bakersfield.

Very family friendly very good atmosphere. They have soccer on the tv in Spanish. The staff is very nice and helpful. The food is very good. I got the small asada fries and while this is the only place not to put nacho cheese on them the fries are still very good. And at a very good price for a small. They even had two different spices and a what I am assuming a chili sauce at the table already.

Leaving one star because i have no choice to put 0 I asked for a super torta with just milanesa. I mean it has a lil of everything but wanted just. Milanesa i expected for them to make it up with extra meat but just get a plain piece of meat for same full price it’s ridiculous in that case i should asked for everything else in it. First 2 pics is mine the third how it should be.

This is my favorite Mexican spot. It's family owned and authentic. The service is friendly and they have Mexican sodas and snacks on site. I'm vegetarian and they are always willing to change virtually any menu item to be vegetarian friendly. They have a couple of vegetarian options that do not need changing. I like to add a grilled nopal to all the dishes I order and they never make it a big deal. Im always skeptical of ordering hard dishes like Chile rellenos or enchiladas but they surprised me with best Chile rellenos I have ever ordered and authentic mole sauce enchiladas. I genuinely love this...
