I do my best to be generous to locally owned business and I feel that 4 stars is plenty fair. If this had been a chain I would have given it a solid 2.

Food: The food itself was amazing. Whoever the cook is here does a great job. The variety is extensive and flavorful. Best cooked octopus (Pulpo) in Los Angeles in my opinion.

Service: Pretty much all the staff speak Spanish only but they are very friendly and patient. If you need something specific, they can make it work even with a language barrier. They are attentive and helpful. Great service.

Atmosphere: This is where this place loses me. Despite the great food and service; this place is LOUD. It was so loud, I actually downloaded a noise detection app and it registered this place at 120 decibels at times and regularly at 100db's. (About as loud as a chainsaw or airplane taking off). This was from the stereo speakers around the restaurant. Normally I dont like live bands, but I was relieved when one showed up and they turned down the loud music for them. I dont know if the owners here are deaf, but if they werent before, they surely are now. I couldnt think or eat with how LOUD this place was. Geez.

Overall: Get your food to go and save yourself your ears bleeding and have a great...

I feel really bad leaving this review because my family and I have been coming to this restaurant for years, and it was always great. Unfortunately, the quality has completely gone downhill. I’m not sure if there was a change in ownership, but both the service and food have significantly declined.

We ordered the camarones para pelar, and they were nothing like they used to be—just shrimp drenched in a strange BBQ sauce mix. The tostada de jaiva, which used to be one of their signature dishes, had absolutely no flavor. The service was just as disappointing. It took over 30 minutes just to get our drinks, and our food didn’t arrive until more than an hour later. No one checked on us, and I eventually had to get up and walk to the bar just to pay the check.

The tacos de camarón enchilado were also a letdown—the tortilla fell apart the moment I picked it up. This place used to be one of our favorites, but sadly, we won’t be coming back. We couldn’t even finish our food, yet we still paid the bill and ended up going to In-N-Out afterward just to get something...

My husband and I like to try different restaurants. San Isidro gave us a Cabo San Lucas vibe. Alive with music and friendly staff. Our waitress , Delma, was attentive and sweet. I ordered a shrimp cocktail. Wow! It had tons of fresh, clean and perfectly cooked shrimp. I was struggling to finish the shrimp cocktail. Alot of shrimp!!! Like Delma said, " todos nuestros platillos estan bien surtidos." She wasn't kidding. Just add your lime and favorite chile sauce in your cocktail. Ooh ya!! My husband's fish tacos were yummy. I also enjoyed their delicious Salsa and chips. Next time I am going to try one of their specialty drinks on the menu. The drinks looked so...

The food here looked good, but lacked flavor. I order the pescado rellenado, it was topped with sauteed shrimp, calamari, and clams, the fish was a red snapper AKA huauchinango, rice, beans, wedges& salad as sides. Then my partner got the aguachiles al mango, presentation was good, plenty of shrimps! But they lacked so much flavor, was very bland, we did add salsas, limón salt, and the taste just stood mid level. The waiter wasn't really educated on the items on the menu, asked for a pitcher or jara of beer and he brought us mugs. He was nice but lacked info on items on the menu. The menu has so many options, not sure if I'd go back if all the plates are going to taste plain.

Huge Burrito! Looks like a nice friendly place to eat, I got a burrito and 3 carne Asada tacos... I usually eat at a place in Fresno called Maria's but since I was in the area I decided to try this spot...the meat didn't seem to be that Carne Asada I'm use to so I ate a few bites and through the rest out the window for a local cat I seen earlier prowling around...I think if I ever ate here again I would try their seafood...that's based upon the reviews from the locals here.

So my wife took me here and she was showing me her little spot that she used to go to way back when she order made the ceviche tostadas and I'm going to tell you right now these are the best ceviche tostadas I've ever eaten and this is going to be one of my spots from now on. Every time I come to California with my wife, the chips are homemade. The tostadas are homemade. They have live band music and good micheladas. If you're on that side of town, definitely check it out
