Anytime we want to get out of the house and drive a couple blocks the kids loving coming to this playhouse and grabbing an ice cream cone and some fries, obviously the pandemic has put a dent in our fun, but nonetheless we can still go through the drive-thru grab some fries grab a little ice cream cone and let the kids run around the rocks and the parking lots or even go across the street to the cliff hills and take a little hike,
the other reason for the five stars is the location it's very hard to beat this location as it is quickly off and back on the freeway no matter where you're coming from,
For some reason the ownership and the store as a whole doesn't seem to be running quite on par as it should, but they at least do the minimum in offering the right food with not too long of a wait,
The other reason this is five stars as a sub reason of the location is that there is a Starbucks opening up two doors down from it right over the denny's,
Now you could run through the Starbucks get your coffee started run through McDonald's get your breakfast started and you'll be on your way lol!
I guess too bad Denny's didn't have a drive-thru huh?
Anyway East county just has the best locations for anything because there's plenty of space pathways parking and landscape for the kids to run around before or after their treat
Please follow my other reviews as I review a lot of Mexican food and other restaurants between El cajon and Los angeles, and always look for my wife Jesse hopping around the picture somewhere as of September 2020 I have been adding at least one picture with her in it you just have to find it!
Location reason number three is there is a smart and final a UPS store a Subway a Walmart a Denny's a Shell station and a Starbucks...

I Christina went to your McDonalds location at 13574 Camino Canada El Cajon #16724 and had the most horrible experience. Not only did I get spoken to in the most disrespectful manner, I also received cold food. When my husband and got to the second window at the drive thru my husband started to receive our drinks. 3 kids drinks and 2 adult beverages, I noticed that mine drink came as a medium and I ordered a large meal, so when I asked the women at the window (Savannah) she made it seem like I didn't order a large meal. She said "I don't pour the drinks, they come out automatically", so I started looking over my receipt and when I looked up she had then rolled her eyes at me and cupped her hands together and said "well if you give me back the drink...then maybe I'll fix it for you", she was saying this and shaking her head in a unprofessional manner. I asked her if there was a reason she was being rude and she replied "I'm not being rude, I'm telling you to hand me the drink". I told her that I wished to speak to her supervisor (Daniel) because I felt offended that she was being aggressive with me. It was one of the most upsetting customer service experiences, I have ever had. If your company wishes to have people of these nature represent them then you have lost a long time customer. I didn't pay for my children to eat here to be disrespected so badly and have my children witness such disrespect. I wish that you make an effort to treat paying customers better. Obviously more happened while here but I already spoke with mangement whom didn't seem to care.

Read moreAt least they have WiFi. The place looks pretty new and modern, problem is the design. IMO, they designed the kids play place too large. I think it's great that there's a place for families to bring kids to have fun but again, I don't think the dining room itself is large enough. There's limited seating in the dining room and if you need to find a seat you may be subjected to sitting in the noisy play place. It'll be hard to get any work done if you're doing anything productive while trying to have something to eat.
Tokens are needed for the restroom. It might be hard for you to place an order at the counter since this McDonald's seems more focused on forcing you to order the food yourself through the kiosks or on the mobile app.
This location is usually busy and sometimes you will have to wait depending on the time of day. The food is the quality you expect from McDonald's. I just wish they had a different design with a larger dining room, better up front customer service, and speedier service.
Also the dining room was too cold. 2 Stars cause it was too cold inside the dining room and too noisy in the play place.
Update July 2020: Service is awefully slow late night at the drive-thru. To top it off they only have two people working during the...
