Ricky's Grill BBQ & CATERING — Restaurant in California

I showed up to the farmers market as they were getting ready to pull away to head to another location. The owner saw me pull up and got out of his truck to come talk to me. I asked if they were leaving to go watch the game and he said that they were leaving to another location for the 9er game. I told him it wasn't a big deal and i was about to leave. But he asked what I wanted to order and insisted that it was ok and he would still serve me even though they were closed. He went in and came back out shortly after with my two tri tip sandwiches. I felt very bad but as soon as I got home and we started eating them, I'm glad he insisted because they were soooooo delicious! We are very appreciative that they were kind enough to make our food before heading over to the other location....

Out of a truck??? Well, don't pay no mind to that, this place is surprisingly "AWESOME" -- they had it all down pat, all the way to the cebollas curtidas and jalapenos (free sides!). But wait, there's more... Humungus portions. I ordered a couple of carnitas tacos and boy where they THE BOMB! As in Yummy!!! I was showing houses in the area and my client said, let's go here (off of GPS) and we were both surprised to find this place out in the middle of nowhere, but was it great! Good portions, great price, seating is a bit much with wind and dust, but, the flavors of Mexico come alive... Come hungry and leave more than satisfied!...

Saw the sign for Ricky's on Monterey a couple months ago and decided to stop by. The wife and I both had barbecue chicken and it was pretty darn good. So we decided to go back again this afternoon for lunch and I had a chicken burrito this time. I asked for breast meat and no sour cream or guacamole. The guy that took my order was very friendly and accommodating. But when I got the burrito pretty much every bite I took had bones in it. It was absolutely disgusting.
