Roadside Coffeehouse — Restaurant in California

This place has so much potential. The drink names and ingredients are great. The design and layout is great. The staff seem very disconnected, not stight disrespectful but uncaring and un communicative. We stopped by for a coffee and I ordered a season special latte. Blmy drink was served In a Togo cup with no sleeve to protect from the heat. When I sat in my car the lid popped off. I was very fortunate that I did not go to take a sip as I would have been wearing my hot latte. We thought we may have gotten a defective lid, and went in to exchange. The barista then, and only then, informed us that all the lids were that way and they had gotten a "bad batch" from the supplier. So they are knowingly issuing these bad lids to customers in hot drinks. ..

As for the flavors, flavors are good but proportionate mixing is not happening. Not sure if it's just the team that was there today. Maybe a lack of training, the vibe felt more of a lack of caring.

THIS PLACE IS SOOO CUTE!!! The staff members were so kind, the environment was perfect for taking a break away from the go, go, go of everyday life (and my daughter and I live near the busy downtown area of Sacramento!), the food and beverages were delicious, and the owner was also so thoughtful and respectful. This was the first time my daughter and I ever stopped in, and we just loved it. Oh, and did I mention that the Cafe is run by a U.S. Veteran! They also have veteran-related art up in a couple of spots as well. For anyone on the fence about checking this place out, it is definitely worth stopping in, even if just for the ambiance of the relaxation and scenery from the patio or window seats.
