Round Table Pizza — Restaurant in California

I worked at this location for 5 years under a different franchise owner that recently sold it to a new franchise owner. I was greeted when I came in, there were only three employees working. It was a very clear that they hadn't restocked the salad bar prior to 5:30 p.m. we ordered a medium pizza and a couple of salads. While at the salad bar I realized, again, that there were low on items and had to say something to the person I presume was the manager on duty. He told me " I will get that right now " then proceeded to go over to the make line and make pizzas. My guest and I were the only dine-in customers in the restaurant at that time. When I was trained on the make line at this exact location many years ago I was instructed that all toppings from the sauce to the last topping put on the pizza should go all the way to the edge of the pizza. This was not the case with the pizza that I ordered. Not only that but it seems that round table in general, knowing that they get their sauce mix and dough mixes from Round table corporate, has changed their recipes. For many years I swore that round table had the best sauce! The sauce on this pizza tonight tasted like the sauce on some of the frozen pizzas that I have gotten at WinCo or Walmart or other places. $45 for a medium 2 topping pizza and two salads is not happening at round table again! I was also shocked to see a $1.93 service fee on my receipt! What the hell is this? Is that service fee used to feed the five homeless people and three dogs down the walk from the restaurant?? I almost forgot to mention that when we seated ourselves we realized that the tables were sticky. Once again, there was nobody else in the restaurant. These tables should have been cleaned and not sticky!. What happened to unlimited salad bar? " Because of health issues and the safety of our customers, only one trip to the salad bar can be made ". We are past the point of the health crisis that...

Excellent management allowed me to enjoy Round Table pizza, that I haven't been able to eat in many years.

I'm vegetarian, and very commonly restaurant staff find it insulting to their choice to eat meat. Very often lying about lard, saved bacon and beef grease, that they use to cook with. Vegetarians don't have the enzymes to digest animal body fats, so we get terrible heartburn for 1/2 a day or more. Elderly commonly have the same issue.

I wanted to try Round Table one more time. I didn't want meat or fats from the cut up meat, fats splattered while cooking onto the veggies half. Besides indigestion, it's really gross.

I asked if they could make a full veggie pizza without meat. I was ready to walk out, since other Round Table restaurants, went so far as to sprinkle bits of meat on the vegetarian half. Sloppiness or spite, I don't know which.

I was really surprised when they offered to make a lunch buffet pizza that was 1/2 veggies and 1/2 all cheese. Outstanding !!!

Management actually had a head on their shoulders and made it possible for Vegetarians to eat at their restaurant. This manager should be considered to be groomed for regional management. They were able to stay within policy, and yet promote sales to a demographic that was...

Frist of all my husband went in side and orderd to make sure they get it right this time. And of course He dose not get a reciept with his order. Comes home ready to eat and looks to see they give us boneless wings which he did not order at all ...it was not boneless and he went back to tell them and get them to make it right which he waited another 20 mins. He was not even offered a soda wile waiting . or even a discount or coupon for his inconvenience, wile his food at home got cold . !!! I know my husband is not one to complain or damand whats fair. I know if it would of been me i sure would have expressed all the above and with a smile said thank you for giving me discount or even a apologize. I really hope they did not waste the boneless wings and throw them away. I know they servise is weak and seem to not be professional enough to run that store listen to be a couple high school kids not taking their job seriously people well people have to spend good money on food expect to be heard and the food...
