S S Burger Basket — Restaurant in California

Horrible! The star is a negative one because there is NOTHING positive about this place. I came to S.S. Burgers because when I use to live in Fontana it would be my go to spot. I would drive 20 - 25 mins away for a good meal, but that was over 10 yrs ago. When I entered tonight I was greeted with a not so pleasant additude. I looked passed it but when I was told the cook said give me my money back because I asked for my food to be prepared how I requested it, I was truly done. The cook and the cashier begin to speak in Spanish (which in 2018 please stop assuming people aren't bilingual or multilingual... besides it being rude it's just down right disrespectful) and he tell her I'm not remaking anything. I told the cashier this was his mistake and I needed the manager's info, but the cashier who happened to be the person who greeted me was as unprofessional as the cook. I don't know if the issue was they didn't want to serve a black couple or if they didn't want to make any more money for the evening, because they had 45 mins until closing or what. I do know they were extremely shocked when I responded back to them in Spanish. Needless to say I will never be back to this place. I asked for fresh fries and was told we always serve fresh food, however my fries were warm when I received them. I asked for cheddar cheese instead of American cheese (due to be allergic to American cheese and I told the cashier that). This spot has really gone down and I'm totally shocked. As we were leaving we saw a family of rodents run pass the car.... we thought to ourselves how they have an A, but bad additudes and...

I've been coming to this page for done time already. I really enjoyed the food, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I recently ordered some breakfast for my kids. I went too pick it up person at the window very rude ( lay with blonde hair chunky) anyhow i get home, i serve my girls. They started eating and about 15 mins into eating they started to complain about the taste of the eggs and started to throw up. I tasted the eggs and yes they had a awful taste to them. I called up there place to let them know. I didn't want nothing in return just wanted to let them know so no one else would get sick. Only to be told by the same lady at the window who said she was management that nothing is a matter with their food. That it's just my kids. She went on and said their food is perfect, fresh everyday and tastes great that it's not the food but my girls need to not be eating other things. I said i don't want nothing in return am just letting you know the eggs are not good. And my girls haven't eaten anything else other then their food. But still she yelled and screamed at me saying no no no not their food. I finally had to hang up....

I asked for a cup of water with my order and was not notified I would be charged for it. Upon bringing it up at the window in a polite way I was not treated well. First I was looked at confused and told they don't charge for water. Then I said it is on the receipt. Then I am just told, "Oh, I didn't take the order" and nothing further. Then I say, "We really need to be notified if you charge people for water," and before I could even finish my sentence she closed the window, shook her head and looked away. By the way, the paid cup of water is like a kid's meal size cup; at least it could have been a bigger cup making the cost justified/worth it.

My problem wasn't fixed, I was treated rude and apparently it wasn't worth it to them to give the customer a satisfying experience by fixing a small issue. Not the end of the world, but rather silly on their part all the back to back lack professionalism and poor representation of their business.
