Alexa’s Cafe Mexican Grill — Restaurant in California

I really enjoyed eating at this little restaurant. From the outside it doesn’t look like much but it’s all in the service and the food. One of the cool features about this place is that it has a drive-thru yay! You can also order inside to take out or seat inside and the staff will come to your table to take your order. If you are eating inside keep in mind it has a small dinning area but it serves its purpose. The menu has a large selection of Mexican food favorites. The staff is courteous, helpful and pleasant. They accept credit cards but sadly the credit card machine does NOT allow you to write the gratuity/tip for the servers which is sad because the ladies do their best to offer great customer service. Sorry to say but food was not good, gone 3 times and was very very disappointed. First 2 times we ordered menudo and flavor was off, not that bad but needed to be better, Taco's are just ordinary taco's need better salsa to make them good. Today was the worse that's why I put one star and very very disappointed with there huevos rancheros (horrible). First of all the salsa they put seems like the kind that you would eat with your chips or could even add to a taco and who told them that yellow and white cheese belongs on top of that 🤢🤮bad, could not even finish it, seems more like Americanized Mexican food and this is not Authentic Mexican food. Will never try anything else in that...

This was my first time here. I was dropping my son off at work. Stopped by to get him some food. The place smelled so darn good!!! I got a surf and turf burrito 🌯 for myself. My son ate in the car on the way to his work location. It looked and smelled deliciously 😋 i could not wait to get home. I ate my burrito in the parking lot 😅 it was sooooooo good!! I went back and bought two more to take to the family at home. The lady with the diamond on the tooth was super nice, even though the place was very busy. The small dining area was full of smiling customers. Even though this is out of my way, I will go back to try some of the other stuff...
