Let's break this meal down course by course ladies and gentlemen. I ordered the special today, which consisted of 5 Street tacos for 8 bucks. Pretty good deal if you ask me. There were a lot of choices but I ended up with two mango pastor tacos and three chicken tacos. While I waited I munched on the complimentary chips (which are consistently awesome by the way, made in-house, fresh every day). There is always a myriad of fresh salsas to choose from at the salsa bar, with a designated lime cambro containing fresh lime slices. I appreciate that all the salsas are labeled, emphasizing ingredients and hotness levels. Can't remember what I went with but they were both tasty. The one labeled "caution: hot!", was indeed hot folks. Anyways, my tacos came out pretty quickly (side note - I like that we have the chefs cooking our meals right in front of us!). They were lightly garnished with onion and cilantro, with two tortillas for each taco. The meat tasted fresh and juicy and packed a lot of flavor. After the meal I was pretty full and washed everything down with a cold diet coke. By the way, not only was the food great, but the service from the owner Johnny is always exceptional and the restaurant is always kept tidy. Seems like this place has a lot of regulars - people who know that Salsas is a benefit to the area. My only wish for this place would be that they somehow, by the grace of God, acquire a liquor license so they can spoil us with tasty margaritas (on the rocks, salted rim, of course) to compliment our tasty street tacos. I wish this place the best. Highly...

This place is Amazing! First off, the staff are very friendly, and the owner Johnny is one of the nicest people you'll meet! We were first time customers, and had a lot of questions about menu items. They were happy to answer, explain and even help us with our selection. We ordered the 5 for $8.00 street taco special, Rice and Black bean plate, and tried the chicken soup. We ordered chicken, beef, and carnitas' tacos, and all were delicious! My favorite this evening though would be the carnitas street Taco's, and the chicken soup! Out of this world, bursting with flavor. Very mild, not spicy. The prices are very inexpensive. Try it once, and you'll be hooked, especially if you're on a budget. But in no way is it budget food. Value!! High quality food for such a low price! The music gives ambiance of authentic tasting Mexican food, and it's a very cozy laid back environment! I can only say, Rarely am I this impressed with a food establishment, but I am, right down to the actual "salsa bar" with lime wedges, and many different salsa to choose from. They also give you free tortilla chips, also very tasty!! Thank you again Johnny for the wonderful experience we had here, and I hope many who read my review will...

This is where my family in Santa Cruz goes to get Mexican food. They are on the corner of 17th and Brommer in a small strip mall—across the street from a gas station. There is parking available.

One of the things my vegetarian family loves about Salsas is that they have vegan options. My family also likes to order their French Fries. At this time, since Salsas isn't  "dining in"—they call in their order and then pick it up.

During non-Covid times, I used to love getting different salsas from their Salsa Bar—they were so delicious!!! You can still get a variety of salsas from them. However, you can't see the selection, dish out your own salsa, and "drool" (or at least that is what I...

OMG The BEST Mexican food in town by far!! They have a super wide selection of salsas from tangy to hot, and sweet. They even have every vegan option you would want in a Mexican meal… beyond crumbles, beyond sausage, vegan cheese, even vegan sour cream!!! Friends tell me their traditional Mexican food is solid too. Their vegetables are cooked to perfection. Always with the perfect amount of crunch! Their service is outstanding too. Always kind and courteous. And their prices are also 100% legit! Tip em big they deserve it!

Salsa's taco bar: they have been a staple on the corner of Brommer and 17th Ave. They have delicious to-go food, and they used to let you dine inside, but things have changed. The chicken quesadillas are good, and the chicken tostadas and crispy chicken tacos are my main favorites. The grilled chicken is my preference, but they also have shredded chicken. Chips and salsa are good; they have a few different salsas to choose from. The ranchero is my favorite, as it is pretty mild and has a nice, fresh flavor.
