Sam's Burger — Restaurant in California

They're awesome!!! It's rare for my husband to want fast food and when he does this place is on the list. So, we went for lunch yesterday and granted the area may not be ideal for most but for those carne asada fries it's well worth the experience. Customer service was average nothing spectacular but very polite, on point and the cook is quick. We were there for about 30mins max, perfect when you only have 1hr for lunch. Food came out hot, meat fully cooked, the asada fries we're layered with beans, onions, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, guac and the taste is fantastic! We also had the corn dogs which was surprisingly great too. Not all oily, the batter has a subtle flavor with a nice crisp. Ordered Asada Fries and a Crispy Chicken Salad.

Asada fries only came with crinkle cut fries, diced tomatoes, maybe a tablespoon of shredded cheese, sour cream (i think), and some dry asada with a lot of gristle.

Salad consisted of about a cup of diced cucumber, sliced red onion, diced tomatoes, chopped romaine lettuce, shredded cheese, large chunks of dry breaded chicken that was rock hard, and NO dressing.

The food was mediocre at best, but the part that really got me was the clear clamshell container the salad was in has a smashed roach and dried roach droppings on the outside corner. Unfortunately, didn’t notice until we’d already been eating out of the container. Lost my appetite to...

A beefy nicely charred ball of meat and cheese right in the hood. Very unique shop all hand made huge variety. The burgers are outstanding. Thin smash style well charred but not overcooked nicely seasoned patties with plenty of melted cheese and fresh fixings. Cold coke with shaved ice and hot crisp fries seals the deal.

The owner is a trip. He's very outspoken and was a burst of truth and American entrepreneurship in an extremely ruff area. I took immediate notice of his honesty and desire to succeed.

Support local business and try it. The burgers alone carry the deal but if you're lucky you might meet the owner as well.
