Updated 3/15/25 Went into this Starbucks today and was amazed. I haven’t been in for a really long time and was expecting the worst. My wife likes the “Woodside”. Kaylee took my order. Grande dropped in a venti +3 add shots. Both my wife’s and my order were super quick. They have a new machine that grinds the beans then brews your coffee right away for all you coffee lovers. 6 different hoppers.
I felt it was very necessary to update my previous post.

This was my experience going inside today, I had to ask where my drink was 15 min after ordering. They didn’t really have an answer but made it right away.
My wife gets her Grande white mocha in a Venti cup because she adds 5 blonde shots to it. Everywhere else we go they make it the same. The barista hands me a white mocha full of ice in a grande cup, I explained I wanted it in a Venti cup and she replied, because you want more ice?
I said, No because you are adding the 5 shots at the end of a grande white mocha.
We went back and forth about math and volume. I still don’t think she got it but she made it how we requested.

Read moreThis store is conveniently located for people in Lakeside and is the only reason I have gambled on going here as many times as I have. The only drinks I have ever gotten from here that are made anywhere near expectations are the pre-made ones, ice coffee, cold brew, etc, with no extras. Almost anything that I request with extras is usually not even close to what I am expecting.
Take the iced latte with coconut milk and pump of chai I ordered recently. If you read the label you see they got my order correct but when you look at the color of the drink it looks like they left out the latte. And they did. Best iced coconut milk and chai I never wanted. I don't understand how this happens at a coffee shop.
My drink passed through multiple hands to get to me, all of which knew it was wrong and yet that is what I got. The manager needs to teach customer service to the people that work here. If something isn't correct fix it. This trash should have never been passed out the window and judging by the expression on the kids face who gave it to me, he probably knew but did it anyway.
I am aware that I could have returned it and had it remade but I was running late and only pulled in because there just so happened to not be a line. Additionally, I didn't roll in there to negotiate the making of a drink that Starbucks should have no problem getting right without my...

Mar 2022 Peppermint & Hazelnut back- but they said 'limited time!' Also, as mandates go away while Omicron BA.2 spreading all servers wearing masks EXCEPT window person! No mask or gloves, go figure.
Aug 2021 still no Hazelnut or Peppermint syrups! They just don't seem to care!!! Every other Starbucks I've used HAVE the syrups- it is JUST this one one Wintergardens that is lackiing.
July 2021 Delta rising and back to no gloves and handing cups off with hand-to-hand contact.
Also, no mint syrup for 3 days, no hazelnut syrup for 2 days- very poor supplies management!
Nov 2020 update- underfilled by a quarter!
Aug '20 update- Their servers are NO LONGER wearing gloves to serve! No one at this Starbucks do any more! I asked and they said no gloves was policy at that outlet--- other Starbucks are STILL using gloves... FYI- gloves are still in Health Mandate.
They have, of course, wonderful drinks. I'm most impressed at how they have stepped up during the virus wars to have a pay box handy so they do not touch my card nor do I touch anything they would have to touch. In that light food is placed in a basket so we can lift it out again without touching & drinks are put inside a mug for same reasons! Very nicely...
