Alright! Another Honest review 👌 Compared to other teppanyaki places in the local area, first things first. It cost a tad bit more, maybe 7 to 10 dollars more. So keep that in mind, ALSO, you aren't there really just for the food you are there for the experience with the amazing Sky view towards the valley... Not the mountains. Anyway, I love the private rooms for teppanyaki. It feels like you are having a private cooking show just for just everyone at the table. The cooking table also has more room on it as well. I didn't feel like I was too close to a random stranger, touch shoulders with them, or were going to elbow them in the arm. The sushi wasn't terrible, but I think if you have a sushi bar, they need to upgrade their sushi menu more. Not everyone likes spicy tuna with everything, just saying. I love sushi, and I love spicy tuna, but some variety would be great! Maybe some deep-fried rolls? The service, though, was very great! The waitress was very attentive to refill waters and asking if we needed anything. So amazing jobs, you guys! The chef... I'm not here to talk badly about the chef. I would like to critique him on how to become better, and then maybe from that, he could try to improve and build off of that information, hopefully. The chef needs more practice. The egg crack, the bowl of friend rice flips, and the fire with onions. I know he didn't do too well with those, but why not the fried rice and the heart? Yeah, everyone does it, but everyone is there for a show, and no ones going to talk badly if they have already seen it before. Everyone just wants a show, and it done well, not poorly. And 1 more thing. The seasoning.... way too much garlic powder and onion powder, maybe just take it down a small bit. Also, the ice cream is tiny, maybe a bit bigger, and with a mint leave or something to add color to it. Thank you. Other than that, my wife and I enjoyed the experience. Not sure if we'd come back again Let's be honest here. Anyways the area where the balcony is at is amazing. I would LOVE to come back and hang out with friends and have drinks for sure next time.

This was our first visit to Sukai, we couldn’t have been any more happier for the great staff that helped us out. Food was delicious , we chose to eat at the sushi bar. Everything was very fresh! Special thanks to Jared our sushi cook & Catt our server.

Sukai, a teppanyaki restaurant in Friant, California, offers a delicious and memorable dining experience. The restaurant is known for its high-quality food, friendly service, and lively atmosphere. On a recent visit, I came in with a large group and was seated in one of the private rooms. The service was excellent, and our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We started with the shrimp appetizer, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The shrimp were tender and juicy, and the sauce was flavorful and slightly spicy. For my main course, I ordered the 6oz A5 Wagyu. A5 Wagyu is the highest grade of Japanese beef, and it is known for its rich flavor and marbling. The Wagyu at Sukai was absolutely amazing. It was melt-in-your-mouth tender and had a rich, beefy flavor. It was a bit pricey, but it was definitely worth it. The other members of my group also enjoyed their meals. Some of the popular items on the menu include the filet mignon, New York strip steak, chicken teriyaki, shrimp scampi, and lobster hibachi. Sukai also has a full sushi bar, with a variety of rolls and sashimi to choose from. In addition to the delicious food, Sukai also has a great ambiance. The restaurant has a modern and upscale décor, with a full bar and a sushi bar. The teppanyaki tables are especially popular, as diners can watch their food being cooked right in front of them. Overall, Sukai is a great option for a delicious and memorable dining experience. The food is high-quality, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is upscale. If you are looking for a special occasion restaurant or simply want to enjoy a delicious meal, I highly recommend Sukai Follow me on IG @hungry_dude_usa

Food was great! Sushi was fresh, fillet was moist and tender, and honestly it was the best chicken I've had. Atmosphere is nice, amazing view, drinks were good (and var service was great). This is a 5 star restaurant with 0 star less than minimum wage staff front house service. I would honestly say it's a management issue. This restaurant has everything you need for it to be a nice place, but you missed the mark on customer service.

When we showed up, we were greeted by rude (or at least not very friendly) hostesses staff. When I asked if we could check in (reservation was in 5 min). I was told not yet. I stood there confused and they said "10 minutes". We sat down on the bench and waited for about 15 until they finally sat us down. Not sure why we couldn't have gone earlier when our reservation was, but whatever. Then they walked away, didn't ask us if we wanted any drinks. 10 minutes later, still nothing, sitting in an empty room. I got up, walked to the bar (again, excellent bar service) and got my own water for me and my guests.

The sushi bar was closing so I also got our sushi order in before they cleaned up. The chef and food were honestly 6/5 stars! Prices are high, but it was expected.

The drinks ran empty multiple times. My wife got up to use the restroom, saw 3 staff standing around chit chatting. I asked the chef if they were short staffed tonight, he told me no. After an expensive meal, on the way out, 3 staff standing at the hostess station chit chatting. No, "goodbye", "thanks for coming in", "how was everything?" nothing.

I understand we were the last table of the night, but your hours are until 9. I also understand the other half of the table was running late to their reservation, but why do I have to wait for my water until some other party is there too? The meal isn't any cheaper at 9pm, I expect at least some decent service. Management needs to train their front house staff on proper customer service and how to run on time or at least communicate if they are running late. It's a shame because this could be a really high class restaurant if you fixed your front house staff, they are the pinnacle of any restaurant's customer service as they are the first and last point of contact. Unfortunately yours doesn't know what customer...

The space is beautiful, and the hourly employees try their best with what they're given but the praise ends there. We happened to reserve a table on a night when they experienced either teppan chef call outs or a scheduling error, and instead of being up front with guests about the situation they waited an hour and a half after seating us to send the host to apologize for the long wait and to tell us they would be sending out appetizers on the house. At that time I asked the host to send a manager to our table in order to discuss alternatives such as ordering off the menu instead of waiting on a teppan chef to show up, mostly because I wasn't sure how much longer I could distract my kids. Instead, as a party of 2 kids and 3 adults we were given edamame soaking in a peppercorn sauce and 4 gyoza, no manager or server. When the host sat another table I asked her again to send any manager, and no one. A chef finally appeared with an incomplete cart (missing his chicken and beef entrees) so one of our party did not receive a complete plate until after everyone else had been served. The show was lackluster, mostly because the poor guy must have been exhausted since he and one other chef had to rush through making entrees for the entire restaurant. When our server finally reappeared she came with our check, instead of asking if we would like the ice cream that came with the meal so we had to remind her about that (not surprising since drinks were never refilled either). After placing credit card in the checkbook, it took almost 15 minutes to get my card back from the server. And surprise! Not a single manager came and spoke to me despite the request being made multiple times. A $50 discount had been applied to the check for "Long Wait", which was nice that they recognized there was an opportunity for guest recovery, but it seemed frankly cowardly for management to not at least do a table check to apologize, despite seeing them multiple times on the floor talking to each other. It was a truly disappointing experience for my parents who were visiting from out of town, for my children who had never experienced teppanyaki, as well as myself as it was my first time to Table Mountain. It may also be...

Was really excited to try this place. We went with my wife, my brother and his wife for her birthday. We had a reservation, but didn't seem to matter.

They have a lounge area that is awkward to say the least. There was only one lounge spot in lounge area, the rest of the seating was Patio furniture. They offer cocktails, but they dint have a real bar. They were selling this out of a bar cart and a plastic table. It's a brand new facility, and it just felt out of place, more like it belonged at a concert then an expensive dinner. The server came and got us after 45 minutes. We finally got to our table and still had to wait additional time for them to fill the other seats. Our Waitress came over and asked if we wanted to appetizers or sushi we ordered, but she never took a drink order. My brother and I both ordered sushi, they brought him his sushi but never brought mine. We also ordered tempura and popcorn shrimp both were good just not great.

Dinner was ok. The chef stated it was his first day but imI took it as a joke. The miso soup needed salt, but there was no soy sauce or other sauces offered. Salad was lacking flavor. The steak was good a , chicken was good, Fried rice was a little disappointing. Wasn't bad just wasn't great.

The service was awful. Our waitress really didn't care, and it showed. She she never took our drink order until we asked her too, never brought my sushi, and when we finally asked for drinks, she brought out 1 refill for an almost 2 hr dinner. She brought out a bday cake slice for my sister in law Birthday and instead of giving it to her, I gave it to my wife instead.

Then when we got our bill, the sushi I never got was still on the bill. When I asked about why it was on there, she asked me if I didn't get it. After wanting to argue with me of i got it even though she brought out all of our other food.

We asked for seperate checks and went over each item I ordered. When she brought over the bill it still wasn't correct even though we marked with a pen what was our order.

This was by far the worst service (non chef) I've ever had at a teppenyaki restaurant. For being the most expensive place in the it doesn't seem like a...
