This place was awful! They overstuff their rolls with that fake crab mush, to make it appear as if the rolls are large, but this is just a cheap trick. The actual amount of fresh fish is almost nil. Super thin and tiny slivers of lukewarm, low quality, rubbery fish. Nice try⌠skimpy at best.
I have no idea why there are so many positive reviews? Do these 5 star reviewers even know what quality sushi looks or tastes like? I guess not? Iâm really forced to question these rave reviewsâŚ
I also ordered a roll with just tuna and rice, and each piece of roll was so tiny! I donât even think that it was a full roll? 4 tiny cut pieces? There was barely any fish inside, and it wasnât fresh. That proves what Iâm writing here.
The actual fish wasnât fresh and was rubbery. If youâre looking for tender, high quality fish, donât expect it here. They like to focus on their tasteless, fake crab, mushy garbage. Thatâs what your expensive rolls will mostly contain, and itâs NOT good.
The sushi rice wasnât made right either. It was just some bland white rice, and not made in the traditional way.
The room has horrible acoustics and is very loud! There werenât many people in the room. The server pretty much forgot everything, and it all took forever to get.
This entire experience was atrocious. Their prices are also outrageous for the tiny amount of fish that are in or on their rolls.
The owner only interacted with people that she seemed to know, cackling loudly, and over performing her âfriendlinessâ. If you werenât someone that she knew, you were completely ignored. Very unprofessional.
I wonât be returning. What a complete ripoff, and a completely awful experience.
Stop skimping on your fishâŚthatâs what people are paying for. Well, you would need to get higher quality fish to begin with. That fake crab garbage isnât supposed to be the main ingredient in sushi rolls! Shame...
Read moreLOVE THIS SUSHI. Grew up in the South Bay eating good sushi. When we moved here and saw there was a sushi spot in town, I was skeptical. Tae's Edo DELIVERS! This is our go-to when we want to splurge or when we want a healthier eating out option. We've gone when we were sick just for the udon or kept it light when we've been on a tight budget. Basically, always a good choice! We've been so many times I can't even recall what we've ordered but we have genuinely loved everything we've had. Edamame, gyoza and a couple sushi type options from the apps menu (sorry don't remember), salad is always great quality and tasty, UDON, bento box and of course... ROLLLLLLS! Something for everyone. Service is always phenomenal, kind and warm and they are sports fans of every kind! There seem to be a lot of people that order for takeout though we really enjoy sitting at the bar. I don't know that I've ever been during daylight hours but beautifully set along the San Lorenzo river if you're seated on that side đ So very thankful for this...
Read moreA very sweet waitress and fantastic view of the creek saved this place from a negative experience. The food was good but needed more flavor. Unfortunately, our shrimp Tempura and consequently, probably our Dragon Roll, had shrimp that were not cleaned at all. As in... we ate poop before realizing it. Yuck! When the bill came, we were told they were sorry for our experience, but offered no reconciliation. We were surprised, but said nothing and paid the bill in full. A minute later, the waitress came back, saying she felt bad about the situation and offered to void the original check and provide 10% off a new one, which we gratefully accepted. Though a small gesture, kudos to her for recognizing that we shouldn't pay full price for something we...
