This was our first time eating here. The food was great. All our sushi and appetizers tasted really good. The service could use a little improvement. I feel bad for the staff because there was only one person working the front, and one chef making everything. They were obviously spread very thin, hopefully next time we go they will have some help to make things run a little more smoothly. They did prepare quite a few to go orders, so that might be the way to go. Be aware, there is a kids “play” area but it’s located in the main dining area near the tables. So if loud kids playing in a restaurant aren’t your jam, just know it’s a possibility.

Food is priced about a $1 less than typical sushi restaurants in the Bay Area. We got the Salmon Bento and the Salmon was overcooked and a little hard to eat (rubbery with too many grill marks). The nigiri was good, the fish was a thinner cut, but pretty good. Their rice itself was good as well. Servers were very good, constantly checked up and made sure it was all going good. The fried rolls were good, but got tiring after about half due to the type of breading. Overall 4/5, I'd go again, it's good for Auburn. I didn't expect Auburn to have good 🍣.

Had carryout a few times, never disappointed. First time dining in absolute joy. Service prompt and with a smile. Food came out at a nice pace. Spicy Scallop Handroll was everything I wanted it to be. Easy to eat, packed with flavor, filling didn't fall out. Highly recommend. Hokkaido roll. An absolute banger. My new favorite roll of all time. Loaded with flavor, heat heightens the senses without overwhelming the palatte. Will order every time. Check this place out.

I live near this place and was a great go to whenever we got the crave. Post pandemic now is only pick up and we’ve been twice. The food has been horrible. Small stale fish that was crusty around the edges. Salad is a handful of old iceberg thown in a styrophone container with no care. No veggies in the salad. Really bad seaweed salad was tasteless and had a texture I was afraid of. It is one of my favorite dishes but I could not choke this down. Bottom line is I spent $70 to have a nice sushi dinner and ended up tossing it. I can’t stress how bad this was. Too bad because being only pick up you get the food home and it’s too late and the evening is ruined. Never again. I would be embarrassed to serve such...

Please update the online lunch special time to 3:30pm, since the online order page says 4pm is the cutoff for the lunch special, but I was literally unable to place my order at 3:31pm as a result of "Lunch menu is no longer available".

I understand it takes roughly 30 minutes to pick the order up, but I couldn't find clarification on the website that states orders need to be placed before 3:30pm to accommodate that.

When the online lunch order timeframe states it goes until 4pm, I expect to be able to place an order until 4pm.

Update! 😄 Thank you very much for responding and providing more context! I understand now, and hope your site administrator can assist. I'll make sure to get my orders in by 3:30pm!...
