Tony's Taverna Food Truck — Restaurant in Exeter

There are two good restaurants in this area and this is the second one (besides River view restaurant). First of all the Ambiente is really awesome. You can sit outside on some benches which is really good for a food truck. The lights in the tree and the old museum trucks are really a big pluspoint if you are okay with eating outside. The Service was also great for a food truck. The Food itself is really great. Before i ate here I saw the photos and thought it could be more like a truck stop where you just take a Sandwich and leave without getting really full, but you will get really full. Take a sandwich or a burger + french fries and a drink and you wont be hungry afterwards (Maybe its even to much for you). Everything tastes really fantastic even the vegetarian meals. Furthermore it's just a wonderful thing to see the hardworking owners building up there small business here and it works. tourists from the uk here - tony’s taverna has a good atmosphere, good service & the food was delicious. however, we waited 30 minutes in the queue and then 1 hour for our food to arrive. normally this wouldn’t be an issue, but whilst we waited we watched 3 groups of people who ordered after us get their food before us. also, we only ordered a salad, 2 gyros and a side of chips, these are things that you wouldn’t expect would take an hour to make. it had gotten very dark by the time we had gotten our food so we could barely see what we were eating - a few more lights would’ve made visibility better, the fairy lights weren’t enough. the food was very good but i think our hunger made the food slightly better than it was 🤣 would recommend but try to avoid between 7 and 8pm unless you want a limited menu or to wait...

Delicious Food and Great Experience!

After visiting the General Sherman Tree in Sequoia National Park, we were heading home when we found this amazing food truck. We ordered a burger, fries, and a gyro—and everything was absolutely delicious!

There was a small mistake with our order—the fries were initially forgotten—but the owner was very humble and kind, quickly apologizing and offering us a free fries as a sincere gesture. Really good manners and great customer service!

The atmosphere was also perfect. With string lights around the truck and a beautiful sunset, the vibe was romantic and relaxing. It became one of those unexpected but unforgettable moments we’ll always cherish.

Highly recommended, and if we ever have the chance to come back, we will definitely stop and eat...
