Aroma Waffle and Ice Cream Lounge — Restaurant in Callahan

This is such a cool little spot to meet up with friends and hang out for some great coffee or ice cream or grab some brunch together or even just to hang out there to work or study! It's like a lounge inside with sofas and furniture arranged in a way that encourages friends & family to get together and connect. You don't feel rushed out of there like you do in most restaurants. We've even had an informal homeschool meeting here with our little class and enjoyed breakfast together one morning. You can order to go, too, if you don't have time to stay. The waffle dishes are not just your standard breakfast waffle although those are available too..I had something like a waffle "sandwich" with salmon, cream cheese & avocado and it was amazing! I want to give this place and all the employees and owner a shout out. They just opened and they are on top of it and try to accommodate you and it can get hectic at times, but best crepes and shakes and ice cream ever!!! Shout out to all of them who worked so hard when it was super super busy. The atmosphere is 10/10,food: 1000/10/A+++++++- best shake I ever had. My only advice to whomever is reading is is to be patient with them so you get the best experience like I said they just opened up and give them the support and time to make it a great place in Callahan! I would go back everyday if I could, but definitely will go and try new things. You will not be disappointed. Again, please be patient with them you won’t regret it. A+++ on food and shake and ice cream, A+++ on atmosphere...

I normally would give this place 4 stars but I’m really disappointed in this Salmon crepe. The first picture is what it is supposed to look like normally. The person that made it today (2nd pic) just flung it in the box. It is supposed to have salmon, avocado, cream cheese, dill, chives. Some pieces only have a tiny slice of avocado. That’s it. There’s no chives on it at all. It’s not rolled tight and stuff is falling out. One piece of avocado was hard as a rock. They need to hire more people if they get too busy, because clearly one person can’t handle the rush of a restaurant. But the quality of this is a hot mess...
