Compute-This! and specifically Brian (The name on the ebay account) purchased a computer motherboard from us on ebay, I assume to be used to repair a customer's computer. Sometime later they opened a return claiming the item was defective. When i questioned them specifically about any damage while trying to help them troubleshoot, they told me that there was no damage and based on on their assurance i approved the return. The motherboard was received with severe damage caused by them making it unusable and irreparable.
Unfortunately ebay's rules are such that i cannot deny a refund once the item has been returned so i messaged Brian informing him that i was deducting 50% from the refund, the maximum allowed (which doesnt come close to covering my losses) and gave him a chance to respond. Instead he contacted ebay and attempted to get them to reverse my decision.
In my opinion this demonstrates a complete lack of ethics. It appears that they are willing to steal from the small businesses that supply them and I would think twice about...
