My family came in to celebrate my birthday. Three of us ordered the trio with steaks and upgraded sides to house salads. We waited 50 minutes for our food. In that time, our server never came over with our starters or to update us. Not to mention it wasn't busy and if it were the gentleman in the black polo standing against the wall overseeing the diningroom the whole time would've made himself useful. When our food finally came, 2 other servers brought it. We told them we never got our salads, we need an extra plate (as my young daughter and I were sharing), and napkins. They replied "we'll tell your server", and walked away. We cut into the "medium rare" and "medium" steaks that were thinner than my pinky, and they were well done! A few minutes pass, our server comes over and asks how everything is and we ask her for the salads, napkins and extra plate. We don't mention the steaks as we just waited almost an hour for them. She brings the salads right out and I add a meal to our order and remind her about the extra plate again. We never got the plate or the napkins. So we just ate off the same plate. When everyone was about done with their dinners, we asked the server to just box up the add-on meal we ordered over 20 minutes prior and she says okay. Then, she comes right back like 30 seconds later and says, "what sides did you want with that again?" So that means she never put the order in for that meal. Fast forward to her returning our credit cards and saying her farewells, she completely forgets we ordered the meal again. We were all reflecting on the whole experience and debating what to do when she just appears out of the kitchen, rushing over with my togo bag. Our kids were growing tired and since we finally received that add-on meal, we just left instead of searching for someone in charge. After getting home, I feel the need to say something because you guys need to do better and you can't if you are unaware of the problems. I have worked in the restaurant industry my entire adult life and I'd say I'm easy to please and have much more sympathy than your average joe. But when the server never updates you on what's taking so long (when they only have 3 tables), doesn't bring your salads til after your entrees come, never brings you a plate you asked for multiple times so you have to eat off of one plate, leaves your party with kids with no napkins after asking 3 different servers, gives you way overcooked steak, and forgets your add-on meal TWICE, I must...
Read moreDecided to leave feedback since both my experiences here were negative. I was here maybe 6 months ago and my daughter ordered a steak well done. This steak came out and I’ve never seen a steak so charred black and over cooked in my life. We sent it back and it took roughly 20 minutes for a new one to come back out. I wanted to try them again and I took my mother there yesterday for her birthday. My son asked for a rare steak and it came to him well done. We sent it back. His next steak was just browned out the outside and extremely cold in the middle that he didn’t eat it. My mother ordered the pot roast sandwich with gravy. She took her first bite and said it’s was extremely salty and she did not eat all of it. I’ve read some other reviews about their gravy being really salty too. I ordered a crabby patty which is a normal burger with some kind of crab sauce mixture on it. I took 3 bites and thought the strange mushy texture was because of the crab sauce mixture on top, nope - the burger was raw. My mother and my 2 eldest teenagers agreed - it was raw. I sent that back. They brought out another and it too was indeed still somewhat raw. The manager guy asked me multiple times if it was okay and I didn’t want to be a pain and send a third plate back so I just dealt with it and ate what looked cooked. When we left I split the remaining burger laterally and left it on the plate so they could see that the burger was still uncooked inside. The waitress and guy she was training were amazing, but man——they 100% need to hire people who know how to be cook food. I will never go there again and will never recommend word of mouth going there to anyone I know. Not that I cared, I tipped well and paid full price, but most restaurants will discount the bill when...
Read moreI've been to Off the Rak a hand full of times before and I would rate it a 5 star. Maybe it is because they need more people. I'm not really sure. Though there wasn't a sign that they were hiring. But, I went there today 11-5-21 with my best friend. I told her they have great food and that she wouldn't be disappointed. Of course that had to happen today. I got the sirloin with my two sides. It was cut in half and only received half. The plate that I received was a rectangle plate that was to small for my two sides and half a steak. I wasn't asked if I needed steak sauce. But I will also blame myself for not speaking up. Before our meals came we did order an appetizer which was the buffalo chicken dip that was amazing. The chips were salty which no biggy. I had a water and a Pepsi for my meal but I couldn't help drink them both because of how much salt was on the chips, but never was asked about a refill. My friend ordered herself wings and some of them weren't even completely winged. It barely had any meat. We didn't get asked how our food was. Usually we get asked as soon as we shove food in our mouths. But the only question that was asked after getting our meals was if we needed boxes. It felt like we were in a corner and since it was busy we were forgotten. Maybe it's because I sat upstairs for the first time and it's not the same as...
