The Meadows Original Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Cambria Township

Their custard is the Meadows brand so it is yummy as always! Staff is hit or miss! My first visit eat in was fine. My first drive thru visist was terrible and the staff who waited on me was rude because at first I didn't know there was a drive thru or where the entrance was located! Stating that the drive thru has been that way for 20 yrs doesnt help a customer who has never lived in the area! The drive thru actually starts on the opposite side of the building and the entrance is shared with the Best Way Pizza drive thru so it is easy to miss the tiny sign for the Meadows especially if you are expecting it to be the drive thru for another business! My second drive thru experience was much nicer and is the reason they got 2 stars! One for each acceptable experience. Edit- went back recently to get sundaes and they were great! Ice cream was actually frozen like it should be and was what we used to expect from here.I hear it's under new management, but can't confirm.

Ice cream tastes GREAT when it's actually ice cream and not soup. Ordered a banana split, waited forever and the kid working there handed me a container with a banana and a river of melted vanilla ice cream. I say river because it was running out of the container all over the place as it was being handed to me. Maybe spend a little less on the air conditioning and a little more to freeze the ice cream.
