There has to be other choices in Ebensburg. I think prices are unreasonable. Copies for 9 cents a piece are fine. But to charge the same rate to scan (which most places charge copy prices as they are just scanned on the copier and saved to your thumb drive) they charge faxing rates which is $1 first page and 50cents each page after. In addition, I went there for notary one day and was surprised by the $10 charge. When I was in this time and stated that they had the highest rates around they responded with great. (uh????) With that said the gentleman told me its $5 for a notary at which I responded...but you charged me $10. He said, well yes, $5 for the stamp and $5 for clerical charges. Don't play games...its $10 and that is more than anywhere else. I thought this would be a convenient choice but I've never seen prices like these, a lack of understanding sometimes and just guessing at charges (as in the scanning when it wasn't in the computer and they just said well we charge the same as faxing...I questioned that because its not a fax, just a scan on the copier - no paper or transmission required- and the response was a smile and a yes, I know...it will be the fax rate). They're clueless. I realize I'm use to the services of a larger city and new to Ebensburg but there has to be somewhere more professional...Pick...
Read moreTerrible customer service. I walked into the store around the same time as another customer. As we walked in the lady behind the counter continued to tape together boxes. My package was completely boxed and ready to go, all I had to do was pay for postage. When she was finally got done doing that task she turned to us waiting in line. The other customer had 3 individual and separate shipments (picture frames and glassware), that had to be packaged, wrapped and boxed prior to being sent. That customer was kind enough to say that I could go before her but what was the worst customer experience of all was that the lady behind the counter said, “No! I have to take you first” to the other customer as she casually looked through the pictures exclaiming how now they were. What would have been a seamless, quick and easy transaction the lady opted to turn it into over a 1/2 hour plus (I ended up leaving without sending my shipment because by that time I was late) process of boxing and shipping the other customers things. Basic efficiency in process and procedures as well as any type of customer service seems to have been lost at this store. I do a lot of shipping. Looks like I’ll be going to FedEx and driving elsewhere to ship...
Read moreThe staff at the UPS Store in Ebensburg, PA is amazing. We shipped a number of passports out of there and UPS lost one of them. It wasn't the people at the store. We went in and even though they were sure they did them correctly, they looked through the trash and everything just to make sure it hadn't fallen out. It turned up eventually and was sent back to us, but it was long after it left the store (In New York). Then 3 months later when I got notified of the visas being finished, I called because I lost the tracking numbers for the return shipping (you have to include return shipping postage and packaging when you send passports off for visas) and they were able to send me the tracking numbers 3 months later via email so I could track the visas coming back to us....The staff is so patient and understanding and really cares about their customers. Highly recommend this for whatever you need that...
