My family and I have been in Central Square for a little over a year and Cambridge Pizza became a staple a place we order from multiple times a week; recently multiple days a week. The food has a potential to be great! - depending on the day (with the exception of the pizza. I’ve only had their buffalo chicken pizza multiple times, and every single time it’s disappointing. It feels like the pizza came out of the microwave the crust and the dough is 100% soggy!) !! One thing that they lack is consistency the quantity(side orders such as fries) /quality of food is never consistent if you order online or through third party app like DoorDash. If you leave notes on your order-100% guaranteed that it’s not going to be honored. I’m leaving this review because tonight I decided to pick up the order I placed myself. I wanted inspect the food before I walked back home and go inside and give them an opportunity to rectify it because the last multiple orders we placed have been in accurately, delivered or picked up in poor condition. For tonight— I went back and asked why additional sauces i ordered was not included and why I paid for an full order of fries to only received half of a box, topped off with multiple ketchup packets. I got an explanation about how the online ordering avenues don’t allow the customer to pay for the dipping sauce (not my fault if all online avenues don’t charge for the specific sauce. Not to mention I’ve called three times and I’ve been charged a dollar a sauce just to not receive.) if they are not able to charge, they leave it out and never communicate this!!! They attempted to rectify tonights situation by making me a new batch of fries for the half of box they handed me originally. I say all that to say this has been a great lesson for me to stop spending my money where I see convenience and stop over looking the constant inaccuracies, while wasting my money. After 16 months of being a customer out of convenience we will no longer be ordering for this place. It’s so clear they don’t value having repeat customers. Read moreDon't waste your time. We ordered the pizza, the driver never came in the hotel to deliver the pizza. We asked the pizza driver to let the hotel staff know when he arrived so they could call us. The front end greeters noted they would call us when he arrived. We followed up with the hotel clerks after about 45 minutes passed, they noted the pizza driver never came in. We called the pizza driver as he left a message on our cellphone. He had a nasty attitude and said he waited outside the hotel for 30 minutes. We asked why he didn't check in to the lobby as we requested over the phone. He said he didn't want to walk to in. We told him we would meet him in the lobby, he continued with a nasty attitude hung up on us and drove off. We called the manager and explained our frustration, she accused us and said it was our fault for not picking up the cell phone, even though we asked them to call out to the hotel staff so they could call the hotel phone, since I was going to be away. The lady said I need to be by my phone at all times. I told her this is nonsense and since we already paid for the pizza, and have yet to receive it we wanted a refund. She said she will call the driver and have him call us back. He never called. After 10 minutes passed, we called her back. The lady noted that the driver was suppose to call us. We said we received no call and the last time we spoke to us he raised his voice and hung up. The lady said again it was our fault, we demanded a refund. The lady became hostile. After about 5 minutes she noted she would give us a refund.
TL;DR
Don't order from here. You are better off eating from the trash or dying from starvation. I dont write reviews or do this crap, but the expierence was so bad, I need to warn people. Seriously the people who run this need to be fired, no customer service skills, rude all the way around. If you are really hungry find a vending machine, there are so many better places in Boston. I used to like this establishment & liked to walk to this place when I was younger even when the MBTA was still running & I refused to take a cab or get a ride over to this place because I thought it was worth the walk to get to this establishment when I got hungry especially on late nights since they are opened until 4am. I thought that the food was really good & the people that worked there where doing & given a good service at this place, especially since no other place to this day was or is open really late in the city of Cambridge & McDonald in twin city plaza don't count. I moved out of Cambridge a couple years ago & got lucky to get a job in this city so I started to call this establishment again for a delivery service when I was at work. I even walked over after work sometimes on my way home since my work place & this establishment where only maybe about a 20 minute walk for me. Then a very small amount of time went by that the delivery time that my co-workers or I where told for delivery time before we got our food by the woman that took our order almost a good amount of the time we called was getting different from when the delivery driver got to us. It's understandable when it is their peak time & their really busy with how many call's they are getting but when it is not their busy time & delivery time is almost the same, as to their peak time then something is not right and when you call back after an hour of waiting on none peak times and the woman that took your order gets really nasty & rude, that's when you take your business to somewhere else that treats their customers right. no reason to be rude or give attitude to loyal customers that have ordered through out...
