McDonald's — Restaurant in Cambridge

The manager with the curly hair is always a delight. Goes above and beyond. However everytime I come here the food is messed up so I know to check before I leave. I haven’t been to this McDonald’s in probably months because of this. Well tonight we go thru the drive thru. I order a sandwich with mayo onion and pickles and it’s made with just ketchup. I take it back inside to have it fixed and they hand me a new one with a single diced onion on it. The “lovely” terry that is working (heavier set bkueish green button down shirt” proceeds to tell me I ordered it wrong and it was confusing and that I needed to order it a certain way and then tells me that single piece of diced onion is onion and instead of just giving me a few pieces to put in the sandwich like I asked for after it was made incorrectly the second time she then has them make it a third time and proceeds to tell the grill crew that there was onion on it “but she guesses it wasn’t enough for me”. Absolutely disgusting customer service skills. Could have fixed it with a single cup with few onion pieces in it. Instead you want to argue with the customers and tell them they are...

I’ve been going to the location on East Wheeling since I was in a car seat, this has been my go-to McDonald’s all my life. Drive thru service is decent but I’d recommend going inside and ordering on the kiosk if you only go here for coffee or small orders like myself to avoid the line. The manager Hope is seriously AWESOME! She knows just how to make my Latte’s and Frappe’s perfect before I even order them (and yes I’m kind of picky but she always gets it perfect)😄 The company should feel very fortunate to have a manager like herself on their team! Overall I can’t say this location is perfect in all aspects (no McDonald’s in the world is) but this one is my lifetime go-to for a reason! 10/10 customer service and fairly quick with orders, unlike any other slow ass McDonald’s in this area. The building itself is always clean and is freshly remodeled (not big on the black and grey exterior paint but sadly those are standard with all McDonald’s today). Worst experience ever!!! Walked in they were not busy at all, and greeted by a dirty mob bucket just hanging out right in the front. Had to walk around it to give my order. Drink station had ANTS!!! YUP!!! After ordering I went to the restroom while my wife got our drinks and what a SHOCKER it was totally trashed. Urinals had puddles of piss on the floor, sinks were disgusting with spots on the mirror. Sink counter had pubic hairs and God only knows what on it. Got to my table and counted over 10 flies flying just in our vicinity. Watched an employee take an order to a drive through customer then stood outside for 5 mins smoking on his E-cig before returning to work. All while that dirty mob water bucket just sat there in the front of the counter while listening to employees laughing and carrying on in the back.
