Very strange coffee shop. It's more like a sparse t shirt boutique with multi level nooks that shoehorned a coffee shop into it. The parking situation is as strange as the concept. I've never seen carpet in a coffee shop before...
The staff was pleasant, but not trained how to efficiently run a coffee house or manage orders. Many people were polite like us, but discussing amongst ourselves why it takes 40 minutes to get a coffee and a snack.
Furthermore, the coffee was "meh" at best. Furthermore, I have NEVER met a chocolate chip cookie I wouldn't eat, until visiting here. They even messed up chocolate chip cookies!
At first the ship come across as cute, but the more you experience during your prolonged visit, the more the narrative becomes a bit cringe.
I love local businesses and hope all thrive I also recognize many are less than perfect-that is usually part of their charm. But, This place seems to suffer from lack of focus and a diluted experience of every service it tries shoehorn together. It should pick a direction and go for it
On the bright side, The place was clean and spacious. The staff was polite. It is a local business.
Hopefully they take this place from an Instagram post for the owner to a successful coffee shop-or boutique-or...
Read moreI ended up at this place because it was really the only coffee shop open on a Sunday. My usual go-to was closed so I branched off for a coffee. This place did the exact job I needed. I would highly suggest their breakfast burrito (with the salsa and sour cream). I’ve been here 3 times in the last week and both their hot, unflavored, double shot latte (smallest size) and my (smallest sized) iced latte with vanilla cold foam (I’ve had this drink twice now) have been spectacular and consistent. I even gave in and got one of their chocolate chunk cookies and it is delicious! As a past nanny, child friendly places are so important for not only me, but all of my families I worked for. This place has a spot for kiddos to play and enjoy while parents/guardians also enjoy their morning drinks and food. Coffee quality is also of importance to me, as I lived in Australia for 4 years and have very high standards. This coffee is delicious and of quality flavor. I would highly recommend! I have a new...
Read moreFull disclosure, I don’t drink coffee. BUT. I drink just about any tea and I LOVE food. Funky Buffalo is so much more than just good coffee. I’ve met up with friends here on multiple occasions and every time, I try something new. My all time favorite item here is the blueberry tea. Absolutely delish! I’ve also had an omlet, breakfast sandwiches, doughnuts, muffins, cookies, bagels, and more. I’ve never had anything I didn’t like. Don’t expect your food and drink to be ready the moment you order either. This is not garbage food and drink. This is QUALITY, which means you wait a few extra minutes. I’m always okay with waiting for quality. I have a cousin who visits me about once or twice a year from Chicago and every time she visits, this avid coffee lover insists on at least one trip to Funky Buffalo while she’s in town. She said it’s her favorite place! The icing on the cake is that there’s an area for my kids to play, color and be kids. This place...
