**Note- call ahead or order online if you’re getting lunch. For now, it is only available certain days of the week.
A friend brought me a blueberry muffin last week from this place. She’s been raving about Brewed Awakenings for weeks. I wasn’t super hungry but to appease my friend I tried it. I was blown away! It had the perfect amount of blueberry, the perfect softness, the perfect amount of light crisp at the top. The flavor was 10/10. I’ve been back to Brewed Awakenings 7 times in a little over a week now. That’s how hooked I am. I’ve had hot teas, coffee cake, carrot cake, sooo many different pastries and desserts and then I finally had a chance to try their lunch menu.
If their sweets aren’t enough to keep you coming back, their small but mighty lunch menu is sure to. I first had the bbq chicken wrap. I’ve never had a better wrap in my life. Ever. The bbq has just enough spice to it but not too much (I’m not a fan of spicy, so this was just the right amount). The homemade coleslaw is just enough crunch. The chicken is quality, made in-house, juicy, tender, and soooo good. By now I’ve had all three lunch items and I’m telling you, you can’t go wrong with any of them.
This place tops my list of favorite dessert/lunch places at the lake. I’m telling you there isn’t a place within 100 miles with better, quality, fresher items on the menu. The service here is the icing on the cake. You can order online and the food is ready as soon as you arrive. If dining in is your thing, they have spacious cafe-style seating. Parking is plentiful and this place is pretty easy to find (right off...
Read moreCame to Camdenton to pick up my granddaughter and take her back to Arkansas for Easter break and saw this place as we were leaving town. We hadn’t seen it before and it looked inviting so we stopped in to check it out. WOW! We were welcomed with a friendly greeting as we entered and chose our little table before going to the counter. The atmosphere was elegant and tasteful with clean lines and solid wood tables and chairs. A beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers adorned a large table and soft music played at just the right volume to enjoy. Nice vibe on a rainy Saturday. Now, for the offerings. All I can say is that, after being shown all of delectable choices, we decided to order one of each thing in the front case except for the cupcakes as well as a loaf of the jalapeño cheese bread and a ham and cheese breakfast croissant along a chai latte and lavender lemongrass herb tea. Everything we tried so far has been beyond amazing! Of course we’re taking a lot home for others to try! It’s the best bakery I’ve ever been to in and outside of the country. It’s family owned and deserves all the accolades! We’ve discovered a jewel in Camdenton and will be back again and again! Well done...
Read moreTheir pastries are from scratch and so delish. My first visit I bought the incredible BBQ sauce, the homeade granola, and a BUNCH of other stuff. Bread for the week, croissant, cookies, shortbread bars. Scones. Wow! It was all incredible.
They care! That’s the best thing I could say about any food place. And you only find it in a few, special places at the lake. For a long time I’ve been waiting for a delicious coffee shop and artisan bakery to show up here. I’m tired of basic donut shops and cupcakes and mass manufactured stuff with a bunch of fillers and dyes. Living in a tourist spot is tough because many restaurants have been around for a long time. The crowds in the summer means they can continue to exist even when they serve microwaved, terrible foods bc people will still show up. Such a shame.
SOOO this bakery is the opposite of that. They care about their craft. Their food is amazing. And the shop itself is...
