Holy CANOLIā£ļøTHE BEST Italian sandwiches this side of the great divideā£ļøi went with the "Italian boss" & couldn't have been happier. Freshly baked sourdough bread, mortadella & prescuito, provolone cheese, & topped with all the fixings -& my favorite topper- peppercinis. The Italian Boss with their balsamic drizzle is made true to the Italian art of a fine deli sandwich. The homemade garlic sauce is a perfect touch. My many years long search is over. This is the place, absolutely worth finding it off the beaten path. š¤ My friend loved their Wednesday special Baked Chicken Parmesan Sandwich. Everything made to order. Make sure to take an order of CANOLI or Tiera Misu to go home with you for later, you absolutely won't regret it. There's no wonder Pacific Coast Pasta Company is rated #1. I'm happy to see a wonderful family owned and operated deli with the warmest of proprietors around. Michael & Claudia, & their daughters are all very nice & engaging, making us feel like family the moment we were welcomed in. Five ā's all the way. Want more? Definitely inquire about their special events held once a month on Saturdays at the deli. I look forward to making it to one of those! Oh!, & if you can't make it for their lunch hours- do be sure to find their booth at nearby farmers market locations for pastas & sauces. (I'm in love with their lobster ravioli! Yum!) Folsom farmer's market on Saturday & El Dorado Hills on Sundays....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHave been driving by this place for awhile and finally the stars aligned. I'm a big fan of Italian delis, however, I would call this sandwich shop anything but.
During my visit I went for the Reuben as it's hard to find them at times, let alone a good one. You also get some sides to go along with it so I grabbed some pesto salad. Where to even begin...
The Reuben had two thin slices of corned beef and a mountain is poorly drained kraut. This resulted in a soggy sandwich which was cold to boot! This may be the most disappointing sandwich I've ever eaten.
The pesto salad maybe should be called the essence of pesto because it tastes like bland oily noodles with a light sprinkling of basil and cheese.
I had my daughter with me as well and had been promising her some macaroni and cheese, conveniently, they market Mac & cheese as a special so I'm thinking this is going to be creamy, gooey, savory... Nope. Comparable experience to my pesto salad. The cheese was low quality and lacking in flavor. Absolutely no complexity or redeeming mouth feel.
I can't understand the other reviews, maybe I just ordered the worst items on the menu but after this experience there's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe came across this lovely restaurant following a swim meet for our son nearby.
The location was somewhat difficult to find but well worth it!
We were instantly greeted with a warm welcome by staff and a gentleman who went out of his way to come over and discuss their menu options.
We ordered two sandwiches the Reuben and Italian Boss. I also ordered a mixed green salad as well as their Lobster Ravioli with red tomato sauce.
The sandwiches were some of the best ones I have ever had! The lobster ravioli was fresh and incredibly delicious!
They also offer catering at a decent price, which we will certainly consider for future needs or occasions.
We will definitely be back and we were overjoyed with the level of customer service provided.
They also gave us side dishes with our sandwiches with an option of potato salad, pasta, or fruit salad.
We were also told they do special dinner events including a 5 course meal during the month for just $50 per person!
Thank you Pacific Coast Pasta!
I highly recommend this location and we...
