Denny's — Restaurant in Canby

Sorry, but we will not be returning soon. This always our family’s go to place, but today we will be finding another restaurant. We went in as a group of 4. We ordered coffee and tea. It took around 10 minutes to get that, we ended up ordering our food before getting drinks. Once our food arrived we thought yay! Short lived! My husband ordered a steak, medium, it came back mostly raw. He sent it back 3 times, each time they were putting the same steak back on the grill. Plus all of the little pieces that were being cut off. Finally get a small steak, which is now rubber, along with little rubber pieces of steak. Finally we ask to speak with management… not a good idea, he was extremely unprofessional and lacked training for his position. He said they could take fifty percent off our check, or cook him a whole other steak. We chose the food…. 20 minutes later, no word on anything. Come to find out, no one was going to cook his food.. we were then politely being told to leave. When it came time to pay the bill, we only got a 15 percent discount, not the fifty as promised. The management said that that’s all he could do, even after offering a larger discount. Now on to the plus side. The other food we got was good, our server was decent. It was just a bad night. I feel like more training was needed...

My friends and I like going on our Denny's trips to enjoy some decent food and have a nice social time. Our server, Lisa V, was pretty rude through our interactions. I know, people can have bad days, I understand. But it was constant. Like sighing at us wanting something else, being weird/rude about someone asking for anything on her next check in with us. The topper here, we had one friend pay early and step out to go smoke. She (Lisa) came to our table, asked us (because she overheard some of our conversation), "did your friend say he was a bartender?", I said no, he's a budtender, and she responded with, "oh, that's odd because he didn't leave a tip." Like, I understand people need tips to live, but whether he did or didn't, you don't approach the group or anyone like that and try to guilt it out of anyone. It's u professional. I don't like being this outward on negative opinions of service (because I also work in the service industry), but it was very rude. We asked him about it later, he did tip! So we were just baffled at the whole situation. I know people are on hard times, but it's like, you could be nicer. We are having hard times too, and he didn't even dodge the tip. Thank you for your time...

Came in 4 adults Got seated asked our drink order we told them. Easy 3 coffee 1 tea. Then another waitress came to take our order 1 burger 2 chicken fried chicken and a sirloin cooked medium. Easy right?? No!! We got our drinks about 5 minutes before our food. The steak was raw!! Asked them to fix it they put the same steak back on and brought it back still raw with the same pieces cut and said it was a new one. Came back 3rd time said it was a new steak but same pieces were cut and it was like jerkey!!!!! They said they will cook another and the manager said he would watch the cook this time or give us 50% off of our meal. So we tried again. Waited and waited nobody came to the table. So one of us got up to see what was going on cook and manager both disappeared!! So we went to pay as at this point frustrated and done and one hungry person. Didn't get food discounted they just took the steak off!!! And just for a side not the mashed potatoes tasted like biscuit dough with gravy on top. I hope someone from the bath department goes to this location. We will never eat...
