Clackamas County Fairgrounds — Local services in Canby

We went to the Oregon Renaissance fair in Canby. It had everything from Pirates, to Knights, Wenches to Fairies, and plenty of entertainment, food and wares to be had. The food in general was good. The corn was awesome. The meat pies were superb as well but pricy for the size. The Turkey legs were a disappointment. At $12 each they were large, awesome looking and were like eating an old rubber tire. My wife is disabled and I pushed her around in her wheelchair over grass, gravel, and Rocky dirt roads. It was a challenge and not for the faint of heart but we managed. I'm not sure how that can be addressed and keep to the renaissance atmosphere so just know if you're in a wheelchair situation, it's just something you need to deal with. To sum it up, it...

This visit was on the occasion of the Cutsforth's Cruise In. Word circulating among the participants was that there were close to a thousand cars that were brought to participate in the event. Everything from rare classics (a 1937 Cord) to hand-built hotrods. "Bucket T's," Tri-Five Chevys, Corvettes, MoPars, Mustang's, Japanese and British sports cars, you name it, and there was a good chance you could see something that was was a 'rod or a cruiser, early to modern. For those that live in the hot rod era, or want to recreate it, this was "where it's at." One critique would be to see if the grounds keepers could work on a solution that would help control the dust, and perhaps add a bit more variety to the food and...

There was a Gem show there Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th. We had a fantastic time. The building they had it in was nice & clean. The whole show it's self was well organized. The silent auction was great. Everyone there was so nice. The bathrooms were clean. THE childern we saw every single one of them was well behaved. Great job to you parents who had children there Saturday. Thank you to all the people who helped in anyway to make the show possible. You do an amazing job.
