Bigelow's — Restaurant in Candler-McAfee

I’ve been there 2 times because the first time we sat at a table and had an older lady as our server and she was horrible. Messed up our order and didn’t come check on us like that. Had to keep going to the bar to get drinks. The second time we sat at the bar and the bartender was an older lady as well and her service sucked too. She moved very slow, it’s really time for her to retire. She was catering to these 4 men the whole time and was only worried about them. You can tell the place has a lot of little local regulars that the bartenders and servers hook up. The guy beside us had at least 8 shots, 5-6 beers plus he paid for my friends drink, order of wings/fries and his bill was under $100. He gave the bartender a hundred dollar bill and told her to keep the change. I knew then it was done BS and based on people you know. They need to hire all new staff. I will NEVER go...

Just what my group and I were looking for. We wanted to find a place that didn't close to early and as well, mixed the music up. Even better, we just so happen to show up on Monday Karaoke! The D.J. is AMAZING & HIS VOICE! As well as some of the others that seem to be regulars, joining in with the D.J. We at first didn't even notice they were the music all together. We will be back very soon! It was a very welcoming place. As well as the staff were friendly. The bartender served us on spot as we entered & the drinks we very reasonable priced! So much as we took care of our whole group bill! We felt very comfortable and enjoyed ourselves! Although, it was Karaoke night, we could still dance as couples in between...

The reason for the tge low overall, is due to their security measures. The entrance search seemed more detail oriented than my prostate exam.

I understand the attempt to maintain a secure environment inside, however, if someone/anyone can walk up to the cigarette/cigar smoke patio and pass off anything........ so much for secure. After sitting on the patio and watching several people walk up, talk to and pass things back and forth during the time I sat there, if I can't legally bring my firearm inside to defend my self or someone else, I don't need to be there if it is not safe for everyone.
